  1. Hi Trevor and thank you for the advice. I haven't had the alignment checked yet, but I did put in some additive before a long drive to London. It certainly seems to run smoother than before. It's not perfect, but maybe after another long run it will be better. It's not something I would have thought of immediately. When I looked around Halfords they have quite a choice and some expensive additives. I chose a Carlube product, but I wonder if the others are better or whether it doesn't really matter. I'm thinking to do it for another tankful after this one.
  2. I have a Micra 04, it has some problems. One problem is the tendency to steer to the left, especially on m'ways. I had the tracking checked, no change. The guy did say the left front tyre had more wear than the right, but couldn't say if this would cause the drift. The steering wheel seems to be misaligned to the centre, so I wonder if it had a frontal accident in it's life that has affected the steering. What do I need to ask the garage to look at? After warm up is complete, the idle speed is not constant. I have read about poor solder joints in the EMU? where the idle speed sensor is. Having read a lot of similar troubles, it seems people spend a lot of money without making much difference to the problem. Any comments?
