I bought an Elgrand converted to a campervan. Very nice job, but all the controls have Japanese text and the handbook I got doesn't help much. Does anyone know anything about the Elgrand? Thanks David

My daughter, aged 20, bought a Nissan Micra 2022 plate a year ago and it recently came up with some engine warning lights, specifically C1426-04 & P2263. the car's turbo isn't currently working correctly. We took the car to halfords for Daignostics, they took the readings, charged £50 & told us to go to a Nissan Dealer for more thorough investigations. We did this, at a cost of £243 and they have told us that they checked the boost sensor operation - all ok. They "suspect" turbo actuator failed causing ECU corruption and no ECU update found. They have quoted us £4226.65 for this which will replace the whole turbo & actuator (even though they confirmed that the turbo is actually working) and a new CPU. This just seems scandalous to me that the car is only 3 and half years old and a repair bill of over 50% of the value of the car is needed! Can anyone help on this matter as my daughter doesn't have this cash!

Hi I have a 2017 Nissan Qashqai J11 St auto petrol model. The orange malfunction indicator light has been on for a while now. I have had the vehicle several times to an auto electrician who has reset it and the code was P0303 with the message that the 3rd cylinder is fisfiring. I have also had it to the local Nissan dealer who again reset it with the same error code showing up. It has had a new coil ignition pack put in as well as a standard service with new spark plugs. It has recently started to shudder a bit when driving and the motor has cut out and stopped when I am stationery. It restarts again when I turn it over. I have taken it to another mechanic and they have swapped the 3rd and 4th injectors to see it that would make a difference. The malfunction light has stayed off, however they got me to take the car on a drive at a speed of 100klms to see what happened. In doing this, the light came back on for a few seconds and went off again but the motor cut out again when I stopped at an intersection. They have rescanned it again and it is now showing that the 4th cylinder is fisfiring which indicates that the injector/s need replacing. Just wondering if anyone else has had this situation before and what the outcome was. Thank you. Debbie. Queensland

Not on late models as it an EU requirement as I understand it. Mine is set up with a shortcut to turn audio warning off by pressing control switch and Okay.

Just purchased another Japanese branded car (3rd one) a 2025 Qashqai e-Power with 5200 miles on the clock (ex demo from main dealer). First one built here in the UK - the Mazda 6 and Honda Accord both shipped to the UK. The later two proved ultra reliable so we'll see how built in Britain goes - well I hope! Any tips on economical driving techniques for e-Power would be appreciate. TIA

Hi Nissan Lovers !!! I'm LA I'm wondering if anyone out there loves the 2001 5-speed as much as I do. The one I have, sadly is in need of some major engine work that I cannot afford to do. I've been lovingly taking care of it for all these years, but the engine work will cost more than I can afford. It's got a 8 month old clutch, 8 month old Michelin Defender tires, the seats are pristine as is the interior. Is there anyone in Colorado that "might" be interested ? I hate to let it go, but need to at this time. LA

I’m a former owner of three 280Z cars. Although I’ve also owned early Porsche 356a, 356c and 911 cars, the Z cars rank highest in my heart. Now the owner of. 2012 Nissan Rogue and it has all of the issues that it is famous for - but I refuse to give up. So, I will be questioning the forum regarding my CVT repair attempts, codes and results. Here goes!!

Hello, I wonder if anyone has had the same issue as me. The steering emits a squeak when it there is moisture in the air, so during the warm months since I got the car in June, no noise at all. You can imagine what it has been like recently since it has been raining.... The forecourt I bought the car from has there own garage and they apparently have greased the steering joint, both side since they replaced the gearbox (under warranty) I am going back to them with this continuing issue, but I wanted to see if anyone on here has had the same issue and what it was? Thanks.

Hi I’m after some advice regarding have a wet drivers seat ,I’ve unclogged sunroof drainage hose and that’s ok,.Im not sure why it’s wet,the carpet is dry,any clues on what to do next. thank you

In the UK there is a windscreen company called Autoglass and they have all the equipment and necessary knowledge to set up the ADAS If there is somewhere similar in Sweden that you could take the car to for a check and if necessary get them to set it up correctly

First thing I would have suggested is fitting a new good quality battery. Also, not entirely sure if maybe the stored battery voltage needs resetting with a scan tool

Hi everyone, I’m having a really annoying problem with my 2019 Nissan Qashqai J11 (petrol). All the safety and radar-based systems have started to act up – the front collision warning, side collision, and blind spot warning all trigger in sequence. The error messages appear, then reset, and come back roughly every 10 seconds, no matter what I do. In the beginning, it only happened once after the car had been parked for about a day, but now it happens constantly whenever the car is running. The ADAS control unit has already been replaced by an official Nissan workshop, but the issue remains exactly the same. They’ve spent two full days diagnosing it without finding a clear fault. No specific sensor fault codes were stored either. I’ve checked the camera wiring behind the rear-view mirror, since I know I’ve previously moved that cable slightly because it was creaking. I’ve opened the cover and inspected the connector — everything looked clean and fine, but I haven’t done more than that. The sequence of warnings always starts with the front collision alert, then the side and blind spot systems follow a few seconds later. The battery has been replaced by Nissan already so that is ruled out. At this point, I’m stuck. Hi As the title suggests, I'm looking to replace the CD/Nav unit in my 2009 Murano. I'm in New Zealand, and this vehicle (which I purchased a year ago & love) is a Japanese import. The language on the entertainment unit is in Japanese (although portions of the dash face are in English, which I find strange in itself!), and I want to change the screen display language to English. Don't want to use an after market replacement as the AC controls run through the existing one, and I would be flying blind if this wasn't coming up on the screen to show me what's happening. A local parts company has a factory replacement unit, which they say is in English, but in the discussion the parts company rep mentioned about the control unit for language being located elsewhere (as in outside of the CD/Nav unit) and swapping out the unit itself may not fix this. Does anyone have any info if this is the case, or general info on swapping the CD/Nav unit out? Thanks.
