FOR SALE: very rare Nissan Cefiro - Japanese import; 2L Auto - needs repair & re-reg This rare 1995 Nissan was imported into the UK in 2001 and has had only two careful owners, including myself. It stopped working in late 2008 and has been kept SORN (off road) ever since. A preliminary diagnosis by a qualified car mechanic advised me that the cam belt may have either slipped, or broken, though this is not for certain. The engine will need looking at more closely to determine the actual fault. I have had a quote from a scrap dealer, but I think that this car is too good (and too rare) to simply scrap, so I am offering it for sale on two Nissan Owners websites in the hope that it can find a caring owner. No kidding: I have had people (on numerous occasions) knock on my door to ask about this car, because it's a very rare vehicle. It is the Japanese domestic version of the Nissan QX and there are next to none of these in the UK. It has the original Japanese lettering on the sun visors, and other places, and original Japanese accessories (including a red breakdown flare). The car has good tyres (which were bought new just before it broke down), is mostly free of rust, and in a clean condition. The car currently has personalised registration, and this will NOT be transferred with the car. Anyone wanting to run it on the roads will have to re-register the car before doing so. One final condition: the buyer must collect the car from Doncaster, where it currently resides. Please note that the Cefiro has an automatic gearbox, so towing capabilities are limited. It may need a flatback. Also: the buyer cannot fix the car from where it currently is - it must be removed before any work is done to it.
