bikemadbaz Posted February 20, 2014 Share Posted February 20, 2014 hi, I just got a car from about 100 miles away. 04 plate micra e. 1 ltr. got it home and now it will not start on the key? checked battery, good, earth connections, good. looked at alternator, found this connector with one yellow cable with nowhere to plug it in? other end goes to a twin connector on the end of the alternator. can anyone please identify where it should go as I can't see anything for it to reach? also any ideas about the starting situation ? the car will bump off and run fine. thank you. bikemadbaz Posted February 26, 2014 Author Share Posted February 26, 2014 on the odd occasion it will turn over and start on the key. but mostly when I put the key in the start position (4) I get nothing at all? I think the barrel is worn as its done 87,000. and the key is a bit sloppy inn the ignition, but don't have a spare to try, and I also think it may have been an driving school car at one time as the steering wheel is well worn?
