nissandave Posted May 6, 2022 Share Posted May 6, 2022 I'm upgrading from LEAF to ARIYA but will then need a type 2 plug for my garaged /tethered home charging unit. have found adapters on line -but they come with warning that they are not recommended as long term solution. assume this is risk of over heating. How big is the risk -do folk just do it ? OR should I buy a new type 2 plug & get electrician to wire it into my tethered unit ?? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Trevor Posted May 11, 2022 Share Posted May 11, 2022 In my opinion I would acquire a new plug as you are dealing with high current and particularly when wired to your house if any issue were to occur in the mains supply then the repercussions could be huge.
