Bridget Posted yesterday at 12:48 PM Posted yesterday at 12:48 PM My daughter, aged 20, bought a Nissan Micra 2022 plate a year ago and it recently came up with some engine warning lights, specifically C1426-04 & P2263. the car's turbo isn't currently working correctly. We took the car to halfords for Daignostics, they took the readings, charged £50 & told us to go to a Nissan Dealer for more thorough investigations. We did this, at a cost of £243 and they have told us that they checked the boost sensor operation - all ok. They "suspect" turbo actuator failed causing ECU corruption and no ECU update found. They have quoted us £4226.65 for this which will replace the whole turbo & actuator (even though they confirmed that the turbo is actually working) and a new CPU. This just seems scandalous to me that the car is only 3 and half years old and a repair bill of over 50% of the value of the car is needed! Can anyone help on this matter as my daughter doesn't have this cash!
