Eurolites beam deflectors
Hi Rose Are you likely to be driving at night? If yes then they should go on the nearside (passenger side) but yes your right, its not easy. I drive without them as I have flat LED but if you want to be legal then stick them on. Have you tried Youtube?

System Fault
usually when charging, whether on a charger or from an alternator it will usually sit in the 13v mark. Interesting to that the interior light causes that surge, battery maybe weak for some reason, although 4 years is not that old. But stuff happens. might be worth investing in a scan tool when the car comes out of warranty. As dealers charge so much money for such little work

please let us know the results and what it was.. may help other leaf owners Cheers

System Fault
good morning Usually you would need to have a scan tool to scan the faults. There maybe a way to do this manually, but I dont have a leaf to test this on. Sit in the driver seat (car OFF). Press and hold the trip reset button on the dash. While holding it, press the Power button twice (don’t press the brake). Keep holding until the dash flashes and displays “DIAG” or icons. Release the button. Press the trip button again to scroll through system checks. If you only see “---” or no data, you’ll need a scan tool for detailed fault codes. Give that a go. But i am no expert so if you get no joy then have this inspected by a dealer.

Corrosion on chassis
Hi mate, welcome to the club First thing you you need to do is check the chassis at the weak point between the cab and tub, there was a recall on these and you need to check you can get this sorted first. is the chassis got holes in it or just surface rust? if surface rust then you just need to cheam it all up and spay on dinitrol Then when that has set and hardened, get buzzweld Lanolin and spray the underside of the car a couple of times, You can spray lanolin every year, its really easy to do yourself. see the chassis snap here: https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car-news/nissan-d40-navara-caught-chassis-snap-drama/

Timing chain slipped & need a new engine.
Sorry to hear this mate. Must be a nightmare for you. You will probably need to get it stripped and repaired or a recondition engine fitted. You need to make sure its a proper company that does the work so the engine is warranted. Dealer will be too expensive probably. Once repaired, you can hand the car back (you usually can do this half way through the finance term anyway) or pay the balloon and sell the car privately.
