Nissan x trail cutting out problem

Featured Replies

Hi All

please can anyone help, I have a 2010 diesel x trail.  It's been fine for a year and then recently it just dies when started from cold after about 5mins driving.  It starts again with a struggle then fine all day.

Its had a new battery.  No faults codes.  Cleaned EGR valve.  I did put fuel system cleaner in it and since that and the EGR valve clean it doesn't cut out every day.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Scooter...welcome to the Forum

I could recommend changing the fuel filter but make sure you replace it with a quality one (OE or similar).

Make sure all the air is out of the filter head by priming it and releasing any air that's trapped it in.

If all else fails then change the filter head.....worked a treat for mine.

Let us know how you get on with it.

Cheers  Trevor
