FYI this is mainly when engine is cold and in mornings. Ticking gets quicker as i accelerate . 

Once engine has warmed up, the noise is barely audible.

Hi....welcome to the Forum

That sounds like a drivebelt or the tensioner bearing to me.

Easiest way is to gently introduce some water to the belt and or tensioner, if the noise goes then its a dry belt or bearing.

HI , so applied wd40 however noise was still present , especially when accelerating . . 

Engine wasnt so cold but noise still remained ..
