Rattle at the rear end...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I drive a 2009 Nissan Qashqai with CVT transmission, yet I’ve encountered an issue which rose today: when I drive and come close to a stop (applying brakes) there’s a rattle, when I stand still you can’t here it, when I release the brakes without throttle I hear it again. When I came home and put it in P it kept rattling, will add a YouTube video for clarification, anyone having an idea of what this might be?

If it has only just started then it may be something coming adrift.

I would recommend taking it to a garage for them to raise it on a lift and try to isolate the origins of the rattle.....could be a transmission component

IT eventually ended up being the heat shield leaning on the exhaust pipe... refitted it wit a few nuts and some rubber plates to keep it in place.
