hi All, i have a 2006 Nissan outlaw pick up that is playing up at the moment . It feels like the acceleration wont pick up. Its not fuel related , it seems more like the accelerator pedal. Is this a common fault

Hi....welcome to the Club

I had this issue on an X-Trail and it was the throttle pedal potentiometer.

Where it is positioned it attracts dirt and sometimes moisture.

You would need to remove it, clean it and reassemble then you have to set it up with a multimeter and check the voltages at certain ranges of pedal travel (Google search the procedure).

Alternatively buy a new one as the fault may come back in the future and in the long term it may make more sense to replace it
