New Radio installed now Digital clock/display not working

I've just purchased a 2004 Micra, 1.2 SE. The radio was playing up, so I put a newish Sony in. Fitted straight in, no problems, but now I can't get the digital display above it to work, seems to have no power. Can anyone tell me if it needs to be connected to the OEM radio to work, or if there's simply a power lead I can connect to or something ?

Hi Trevor......welcome to the Club

You could take a feed from the ignition feed to the new stereo head unit.

Alternatively, Halfords sell aftermarket radio adapter leads to plug straight in and this would not affect any other parts such as the clock
