note+ 2013 1.4l removal of centre consul

hi 

i am trying to remove the centre consul (where the hand break is), i have removed the 2 screws each side at the rear. its free and i can lift the consul up and down however it is still being  held down some how from the front, under the a/c controls, i can say where it is being help is the consul itself and not been trapped anywhere, there are no visible screws, i have tried the surround to the gear lever but that won't move. 

any ideas ?
