Can anybody help I’ve a 2016 navara and the engine light is on but I’ve plugged it in and cleared all the faults but none were engine management related but the light is still on.

Has the vehicle had any running faults that can be related to the light coming on?

Or had any work done on the engine recently?

no its had nothing done to it at all and I've cleared all the fault but none were engine related 

Does the vehicle run differently (e.g. engine running fault) ?

Its no different to normal and its been on three months 

I've not had a chance to put it back on the diagnostic tool again to see if anything comes up but there is no faults on the dash ! only the engine light

Its not a service light or warning of the glow plugs failing start up check?
Does it look like the engine symbol with a flash through it?
