Qashqai model wrong on V5

Featured Replies

I have had my 22 Qashqai for coming up for a year. I was told and all supporting documents issued said it was a Qashqai 1.3 DIG-T Mhb 158 Tekna Xtronic and used that information to insure it. I have the tax reminder through and noted it said it was an alternative fuel car not a petrol. I checked the V5 and it is down as a Qashqai tekna dig-t mhev cvt which is a bit different.
When the V5 came through I checked the personal details but not the actual model, to be honest trying to find the model for insurance purposes was a nightmare as it wasn’t on the system so didn’t occur that this could be 2 different car models at that point.
The car is in for its 1st service tomorrow do hope they can shed some light on it and address the problem.

According to the Nissan dealership they are the same model, it’s down as an alternative fuel car being a mild hybrid… makes no sense to me

Sounds fair enough and possibly a change around on the model spec due to semi-conductor shortages along with other component shortages due to availability of parts following Brexit, Covid, etc
