D40 facelift and pre-facelift questions

Hi All,

I recently bought a facelift D40 Nissan Navara and unforunately one of the headlight units needs replacing. I was going to use this as an opportunity to change up the grille on the front and maybe modernise the light units to may be LED. However after doing a bunch of research it became clear that all the LED headlight units and nice grilles are only for the pre-facelift D40 and do not work on the facelift model. It seems this is to do with the dimensions of the grille more than anything but I couldn't find anything conclusive. 

What I wanted to ask was, is it possible to fit prefacelift headlights to a facelift model if I change the grille too? Or are the differences more than just the grille? Thanks in advance
