No oil light warning came on. Had to get AA. Low oil. Timing chain slipped & now engine has had it. Need reconditioned engine. Don't know what to do as car still on finance & in Nov got a balloon payment to cover or give it back currently can't give it back as not working. Any ideas. 

Sorry to hear this mate. Must be a nightmare for you.

You will probably need to get it stripped and repaired or a recondition engine fitted. You need to make sure its a proper company that does the work so the engine is warranted. Dealer will be too expensive probably. 

Once repaired, you can hand the car back (you usually can do this half way through the finance term anyway) or pay the balloon and sell the car privately. 

 

 

Thanks Steve for comment. Been told defo make sure you get a warranty with reconditioned engine. Just trying to find one at the moment.
