Hi, I have a 2008 Nissan Serena Highway Star. The driver door (R hand drive) is playing up with the remote central locking. Appears to be something called the actuator or a CDL unit...? I have been told by local Nissan garage they did one last year and it cost £1000.00 to replace!! Anyone know where to get a second hand or generic make one or alternative....? Much appreciated.

It might be worth taking the door panel off and seeing what is occurring with it, may be a loose connection or corrosion - something quite simple and easy to fix possibly
