    Hi...welcome to the Forum

I think it is a case of "he who shouts loudest gets heard"...I think if you have proof of servicing then they are at fault and if you kick off enough about it then this may sort it.

If not, then it's a case of absorbing the cost and trying to claim the cost back afterwards....but at least you get your car back on the road.

Let us know how you get on with it.

    Cheers,   Trevor

All this does is pay the dealership and pass you off onto head office

  2. Continuing from above I used to work in the service department at a couple of dealerships and this happens quite frequently. The most common cause of failure is people treading the clutch pedal as a footrest! Hope you get it sorted!

  3. I'd echo as above, I once decided not to go through insurance even with video and photographic evidence it wasn't my fault, few days later I sprang a radiator leak, after stripping the front end down I found my slam panel had been pushed into it. Why are they saying you're liable for it? Do they even have insurance?

Sometimes the simple things catch you out ! When you have bonnet pins, make sure they are down before setting off ! Luckily we had finished racing around the track for the day. As you can see from the photos below, it has caused quite some damage !

Bonnet pins broken, all the bonnet bracing cracked, bonnet corners broken, and the windscreen is cracked !

New heated front windscreen fitted. One question which will probably be asked is 'what external trim did you use?'. We have just used a universal one. Some say they don't fit, some say they do. We are in the 'they do' camp. We did have an experienced fitter, maybe that can be the difference !?
