  2. Thanks for the tip, I will check them out. Cheers.
  3. First thing I would have suggested is fitting a new good quality battery. Also, not entirely sure if maybe the stored battery voltage needs resetting with a scan tool
  4. `when did the fault start - following an accident or body damage?

  6. Hi, new member here, I'm Simon Currently have a 2024 Nissan Qashqai but previously had a Juke (2021-24), 61 plate Micra (2013-2021), 08 plate Micra (2009-13), 05 plate Micra (2005-08) and 52 plate Micra (2002-05) The missing year in all that I had a Fiat Punto but we don't talk about that (worst car i ever owned!)
  7. Hi ..... welcome to the Club It's a perfect car for local use more so than motorway but it should be mostly reliable and also economical Enjoy the forums
  8. It does sounds like a loose or worn belt but equally I have found so many of the new belts nowadays are more silicon based than rubber based compound. They slip for a past time until they get warm. Try to stick to genuine manufacture belt (avoid anything made in china) Check also the tensioner is okay and if worn then replace this at the same time

  10. I bought this: Tuqiang Car Seat Covers For Nissan X- Trail 2014-20 5 Seat Full Set PU Leather but the purchase fell through so it is now up for sale. It is not used. It is listed on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/297629455187
  11. I just tried taking down my spare tire to check the air pressure. Needless to say, I don't think it had ever been out. Due to the cold climate (Salted winter roads, Northern Canada), the bolt was very rusty and try as I might, no lube was enough and I snapped the bolt in the "hook" assembly that holds the spare tire carrier up under the car. Does anyone have a usable bolt and hook assembly that they'd be willing to sell?
  12. there are some posts on google search relating to the PO409 code I would first start by running some cleaning solution through the fuel and give the engine a very long high revs run to burn off any excess carbon that has collected in the EGR or Intake Manifold
  13. mostly timing chains are reliable if the correct servicing and maintenance is carried out when its specified and using quality oils and filters Please let us know how it goes !
  14. possibly air mass meter is causing the jerking - try removing, cleaning and replacing Another possible cause could be the throttle pedal sensor needs replacing? Have you turned off the air conditioning as this will run a fan on start up
  15. thanks for updating us and please let us know how it proceeds
  16. The Qashqais have only got the fuel flap protecting access to the fuel inlet. Is it possible to fit a locking fuel cap inside the body flap? If so anyone know of where to get one. please.
  17. Hallo den habe ich erfolgreich eingebaut: L7808 Spannungsregler 8V DC gruss Michael
  18. I would check the coolant pressure cap as my first point of call - replace if necessary as its quite cheap and take 30 seconds to do (only release the cap when the engine has cooled down)
  19. So, a little update on ours! We've managed to get a warranty replacement agreed via Ancaster and Nissan UK. We had to prove service history and it's going to take 6-8 weeks because there's a part out of stock (they've already had it 6 weeks). It took some arguing but definitely worth pursuing, especially if you've maintained your vehicle.
  20. Thanks. No instruction hadn't changed anything. Just did reset when it stopped working.
  21. Sounds like you have sorted it then - well done! You have done all the checks in the correct way and come to the right conclusion Only other thing maybe to recode the throttle body which was a thing on the slightly older Micra but may still apply A good scan tool should have this function on it
  22. You could try using different protocol settings on the scanners (if available) to read the codes
  23. You may be able to get the spheres re-gassed.....you could do on the Citroen and Hydrolastic spheres many years ago - look up Sphere repairs or regas
  24. Hi Stuart....welcome to the club I would say just have the vehicle checked over at a garage and if it is in need of a service to then have this carried out before venturing abroad. Also check your tyres for wear or damage and make sure all your lights are in working order. You may need to get vehicle passes such as Vignettes but otherwise, convert your headlamps so that the beam is deflected to the other side (can get a kit from Halfords for that). Good luck and enjoy your trip
  25. Sorry that no one responded to your post. One of the reasons on the old Micra 4 cylinder engine for poor idle was carbon build up in the throttle body. When it is cleaned out and refitted, you would then have to perform a reset on it through a diagnostic scan tool which should sort it
  26. When I had this i thought it was a phone or car setting. Can't really remember but I did get it to stop by altering which ever setting it was.
  27. The truck has been sold.
  28. My son is the proud new owner of a 2006 X-Trail T-30 as his first vehicle. Generally, it's in great condition, but it does need some bodywork to deal with rust. We are seeking recommendations on where to look online for replacement parts, ideally in Canada but open to internal suggestions. Specifically: Left Quarter Extension Left Quarter Reinforcement Thank you in advance for any advice or experiences.
