The truck has been sold.

Kind of resolved this now a bit. It still has a slightly rough idle in my opinion but it is a 3 cylinder so could just be the nature of the car?? any way I metered out the coil packs all seem to be the same and as I don’t know what they are supposed to be I’m going with they are ok? I also unplugged them one by one and the engine started to misfire as expected. I removed the throttle Body and gave it a good clean. It wasn’t too bad but there was a little bit of oil in there. I also unplugged the fuel solenoid purge valve and let it run for a second or so and plugged it back in. I also found that both battery terminals were very loose! So they got tightened up as well. Since doing this it seems to idle better. The only time the revs seem to hunt is when the ac is on now and the highest it goes is up to about a 1000 when the clutch kicks in which I’d kind of expect as there is extra load on the engine.

hi all does anybody know how to check fault codes on a 2017 nissan micra K13 x 1.2 litre petrol i have 2 scanners ( cheapies ) which reads my kia fine but this nissan cant connect to ECU

Hi does any one know what the resistance values across the coil pack should be? my 2017 micra is running a bit rough and hunts on idle but I can’t see or hear any air leaks. iv serviced the car including new iridium plugs and just put a full tank of premium fuel with red ex fuel cleaner init. I’m kinda running out of options on what this could be. Next step is to clean the throttle body but I’m thinking possible coil pack issue as well. im getting 79.4kohm between pins 1&3 and 0.47Kohm between pins 1&2 and 79.45kohm between pins 2&3 and that’s on all 3 coil packs as well ( slight differences between them) there is no EML light on the dash either and my scanners are not picking any fault codes up

Hi. I have a qashqai j11 2016 n connecta. A couple of days ago I turned on the radio and no sound. I have tried a reset but no joy. I rang nissan dealer they wanted £150 to diagnose. And if I need a new headunit it's £3000 thats three thousand not a typo lol. Has any got any ideas. A friend suggested a memory fuse gone in the unit but I can't find one listed. Any ideas welcome.

Hi Iv just picked up a 2017 micra with the 0.9ltr engine in from Copart. It’s got a slightly rough idle, Iv just replaced the plugs and oil and filters on the car as I don’t know the history. It’s done 54k miles the evap system seem to be working ok. I don’t have a vacume pump to check properly but it’s not getting blow by out the dipstick or the filler cap. im a bit to remove the throttle body and clean it but after this I’m kinda stumped. Unfortunately my code reader is showing nothing on the system and there is no lights on the dash. Short of replacing all the coil packs I’m stuck. Any ideas?? on start up it also has a high idle as well seems to sit around 1500 and then drops off to around 800. I’d expect this on a cold morning for the cold start but it’s not been cold.

Firstly thanks to admin et all for the inclusion of your forum ...... Had a Navara some years back ... dreaded chassis issue and managed a buy back from Nissan Nordics as I live in Sweden. .. Just bought a 2018 NV300 and am trying to remove the drivers arm rest to fit an aftermarket seat cover... centre cap removed and a plastic long squared centre piece revealed.... any clue on how to remove please?... Have put grips on it and tried to ease it free and even put a shifter on it to hopefully slacken it off .... but to to avail ....any one had any experience with this that they could pass on valuable info? NEAR all works as it's looks .I need help with 2 things. Im pretty sure all 4 gas spheres( similar to Citroen with hydroactive suspension )dont have enough Nitrogen pressure and Im looking to buy 4 speheres after regeneration or refuel mine. And second problem Im trying to find Consult in my car and REALLy cant..I spoke 2 days with 2 different AI and they are giving me excluding answers. I found some of this car models DONT HAVE it.. AT ALL- I dont have any problem - nothing flash but I want to have possibility to diagnose my car if anything happend.Would be nice if some one of You have more experience with this BEAUTY and can help me. Our 2018 Micra K14 does not have the Carplay unit fitted which is annoying my wife who is the main driver. Does anyone please know if there is a aftermarket Carplay unit that actually works that we can have fitted to this vehicle?

I would suspect it is the brake pads moving backwards and forwards - usually happens if the pads fitting kit is missing and allows the pads to move in the carrier. If it was the driveshaft joint then it would be constantly be clicking on acceleration and deceleration

Did you resolve the issue? I was thinking it may be the Dual Mass Flywheel (if manual transmission) starting to break up Usually noticeable when switching the engine on/off when it will start to rattle

So, here's the saga. Offside Drum collapsed inside, my fault- long story. Anyway, new drums, studs, bearings, shoes, spring kit purchased, but could I find an ABS ring for the pixo anywhere? Nope! Eventually, Vertu Nissan offered me 2 rings for £201!!! Bought 2 used drums, cleaned/painted and fitted. ABS light turned off 👍 Moral of the story: Parts like this are becoming very difficult to get. Also, does anyone have any ABS rings? I have 2 brand new drums, with new bearings pressed in and ready to. They'll need the fings fitted, obviously. You can have them both for £50 plus whatever the p&p will be Tony

occasionally i get a noise from the o/s/r of my car and a red warning light flashes briefly on the dash(i think it is a master warning light) .After a second the light and noise disappear and everything is ok. Performance and braking are not affected . The noise sounds a bit like ABS Working . Had rear pads replaced and a recent Mot all ok. Noise returned briefly a couple of days ago again just for a second .Usually happens on or near a corner .Any ideas???

But, the tailgate switch has failed and I’m struggling to get a replacement - it’s the intelligent key version - part number 25380AX10B. Any ideas please?? There loads of the 25380AX60B but these aren’t compatible with the intelligent key. Thanks in anticipation!

I am really sorry to hear that -sadly you don’t have dig deep to see lots of other people in the same boat. I am afraid I found Nissan completely awful to deal with- I really hope you have better luck as we have lost thousands. Citizens advice suggested approaching the car finance company if you have a finance deal because claims can be made outside the warranty of the vehicle. Trading standards are also worth contacting - the more of us who contact the DVSA with evidence I think the better - because engine failure without warning is very dangerous, particularly as this is such a popular family car. I am planning on sending details about this issue to car journalists. I hope you get a happier resolution.

Exact same thing just happened to me this weekend, car just stopped with no warning! I'm going to try and claim through my finance company claiming a breach of my consumer rights but i'm not hopeful. Looking online it seems the problem is endemic!
