  2. They get to a stage when they are worn out and worth replacing with an aftermarket system. Take a look in Halfords to see what aftermarket audio systems they have which should fit your existing radio slot

  4. If it is 'clacking' as you turn to a sharp left or right turn then it does suggest that the joint is worn. What else makes you think you have a problem with the joint?
  5. I would suggest to pop into Halfords and look at their range of aftermarket audio systems. I recently bought a new Sony double din that has reverse cameras, satnav, and loads more functions than I would probable never use. They also adapter kits so you can wire in your steering wheel controls as well as fascia plates to make it fit the dash

  14. Hi guys i have a provlem with my CV joint
  15. Thx mate. I'll keep that in mind.
  16. If it is screaming high pitch noise then it is more than likely got a small leak somewhere but in general you will hear a nice constant low whistling tone while the turbo spools up
  17. Thanks for that Trevor. Needless to say, appart from the classic high pitch turbo sound, I hav'nt really paid much attention to anything else. I'll listen tomorrow and get back to you.
  18. Sounds like turbo boost isn't there - are there any strange sounds like whistling or a deeper sound (sounds like a burp) as this can signify that either the turbo or intercooler is leaking and creates a whistling sound and if its deeper then one of the rubber turbo hoses is split. I would demonstrate both sounds but luckily I can't record sound on here 😁
  19. I would be very tempted to take it back to the dealership and ask them to explain it to you - not only is it from the Nissan dealership so they should be well informed of any procedures and also the liability if there is any issues with the system. Please let us know how you get on with it
  20. Hi Just bought a new Qashqai 1.3, and swapping out from a Volvo Xc40 In the Volvo I had capability to press two buttons on the steering wheel. This made the car recognise speed signs and keep the speed as per speed restrictions. Would not allow me to exceed the limit. Nice a simple. No concerns on unintentional speeding.. I was informed by Nissan sales my new car has this capability. So far struggling to figure how to do this assuming it can be done...Took a look on Google and found something's linked to TSR ICC and ProPilot. But unsure. So anyone in this forum, any idea what I am talking about and is it feasible.. appreciate any guidance.

  22. Hi to everyone. Happy to announce that I've just joined and would any ideas as to why my 2014 Nissan Qashqai 1.6dci is so sluggish on standing acceleration. Once it picks-up it seems to be ok but generally tired. I suspect a turbo issue. I would appreciate any info related to this

  27. Hi, I would say Halfords but probably not on your model, I guess any decent independent mechanic should be able to change it. Not only is it the one lamp at the moment but they usually follow in pairs. I can recommend a mobile mechanic, Sam Mee who is top-drawer and would be able to do that job (assuming it doesn't need to be from underneath on a vehicle lift to access the bulb). Let me know if you want his number and I can PM it to you. Being based in Bournemouth myself I know many garages and some/most I would not advise going to but there are also a lot of very good garages and mechanics out there who are respectful of customers and their cars. (I know because I taught many of them over the years). Give me some garage names (best PM them to me) and can advise on their reputation as best I can. Cheers, Trevor
  28. I would recommend taking the car to an car audio specialist I believe there are still some left in most towns. They may be able to guide you to a reset or firmware update - alternatively they may offer to sell you a new multimedia replacement which would be so much better than the original one
  29. how low was the warning down to? maybe less than a certain amount (e.g. zero or very low timeframe) and it won't reset unless through a scanner.
  30. Not sure to be honest but found this AI summary which could shine some light on your issue TSR Audible Warning Details: Speed Limit Change: A single chime sounds when the system detects a new speed limit sign. Overspeed Warning: If the vehicle exceeds the detected speed limit, the display flashes and a chime sounds four times. Customization: Within the [Driver Assistance] > [Traffic Sign Assist] menu, drivers can set the system to: [Warning]: Both visual speed limit display and audible overspeed chimes are active. [Info only]: Only the visual display is active; audible alerts for speed changes are disabled. Temporary Suspension: The chime can be temporarily muted by slowing down or using the steering wheel scroll dial.

Trevor replied to Rhino's topic in Nissan Pathfinder Forum
I would be tempted to drive it more to allow the battery to charge and to activate the brakes on loose surface to invoke the ABS. Erase the fault code memory and rescan it to see if the fault returns
  32. Hi the oil change duration button doesn’t work anymore on my 2010 note. Is it possible to reset another way?
  33. welcome back john!
  34. Hi @Johnj good to see you back 🙂
