  1. Hi thanks for your reply, I've thought about the mat situation and I really can't see that being the reason. Interestingly the garage still have the vehicle and have not phoned today, so I guess they may have found an issue or are still looking? I will post up their diagnosis as soon as they get to the bottom of this.
  2. Hello all, I have a tale of woe to tell. I currently own a Nissan Qashqui 2.0D, Sound & Vision model 2009, I bought this vehicle on HP from a reputable local Nissan Dealership 3 months and 2 days ago, was really happy with the vehicle..until yesterday. I was driving on the M25 south of London in the outside lane, between 70-80 mph, the vehicle infront decided to slow down so I indicated to go in the middle lane and gently put my right foot down on the throttle to be met by a sudden burst of speed and the THROTTLE STUCK TO THE FLOOR (run away vehicle). I managed to free the throttle twice with my right foot, put the gear into neutrel and manage to coast to a safety lane with my hazards on and waited for recovery to turn up. Obviously this was a terrifying experience, thank god my pregnant other half wasn't driving the car or in the car with my 5 year old in the back. Obviously today I'm fuming and the mrs does not want to go anywhere near that car ever again. Now the car is being tested by the dealership and i'm wondering where I stand in regards to exchanging the vehicle in light of the circumstances and the fact it nearly killed me and my partner doesn't want our baby and son in the car??? This would appear to me to be catastrophic failure and even if the dealership do all there tests, ultimately it'll be me or my other half having to drive it...there's no guarentee it won't happen again with that car. I've been driving for nearly 20 years and have never had anything like that happen to me. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated in this, thank you.
