  1. You could convert them buy finding a 12 volt feed from the source to the HID ballast and discard the ballast along with the HID lamps. You would then need to align them manually to the vehicle as the HID would have adjusted automatically
  2. There should be someone making an aftermarket part, you can get most parts through eBay
  3. It would be the case unless the unit was previously unlocked to fit any vehicle. It stops any stolen stereos being used in another car so the dealer would need to programme it to your car, shouldn't take too long and little costs really
  4. Hi .... welcome to the Club Great looking interior Good to have you onboard!
  5. Hi Paul.....welcome to the Club Hope you're enjoying your Qashqai ?
  6. Let us know how you get on with finding some
  7. You will need to take it on a long run (say around 20 miles or so) at a moderate speed but at high revs (not 5th or 6th gear) so that the pressure builds up to break up the collection of soot in both the EGR and DPF. Try to keep the speed and revs constant so motorway is probably best and later in the evening. Keep any eye on the engine temperature but it will go slightly higher whilst trying to purge the EGR/DPF. Also, it may be accompanied by a burning smell but this is part of the process. After you finish the run, allow the engine to cool down for a period. I would aim to give the car a run at least once a week to ensure the engine does not clog up in the future
  8. do you have any photos of the tensioner assembly?
  9. 4x4 direct is a good place to source running boards
  10. Incredibly low mileage....great find!
  11. How did you get on with diagnosis the fault?
  12. How did you get on with dealing with Nissan regarding a claim/rectification? It is a know fault and last I heard there were brackets that act as a sleeve which could be welded onto the chassis rails (not sure about any other areas of corrosion that cannot be detected. It may be worth using a lightweight hammer to tap the chassis rails and see if the tone changes to signify a weakness in the metal
  13. Sounds like a speaker or volume issue....not sure but check there is no mute button or problem with the volume switch, etc
  14. Hard to value it but I would place it on eBay with a high reserve or starting price and see what interest it gauges. You can always remove it from sale before auction ends if you're not getting any traction
  15. Welcome to the Club Wow! you don't see many of them around anymore and looks in great condition Good to have you onboard!
  16. Unfortunately town driving will always give very low MPG However, on extra urban road journeys (e.g. 40 - 50 mph constant) should deliver best MPG Maybe look at alternative routes which include more constant speeds rather than just town and motorway.....maybe longer route but pays back with better MPG
  17. I would clean out the throttle body and also check for split or perished rubber hoses in around the inlet area
  18. Sounds like the throttle housing needs cleaning out also check for split or perished rubber hoses in and around the inlet area
  19. You should be able to get a secondhand one and recode it to the engine (also look out for a Renault equivalent as same engines)
  20. Hi Ross....welcome to the Club Wow! 350Z is a superb car to have in your garage, cannot even remember the last time I saw on the road. Keep us updated on the work you're carrying out
  21. Hi Sam Welcome to the Club and welcome back to the wonderful world of Nissan !
  22. Hi....welcome to the Club Micra's are pretty good all round and you shouldn't have too many issues with them if maintained correctly Good to have you onboard!
  23. There is a coding procedure for the throttle body that can be carried out with a scan tool. Also, check for any air leaks on the induction side (intake manifold, etc) rubber hoses split, etc
  24. I believe it is on the bulkhead or inner wing area or if not it may be built into the tank itself
  25. I would have the battery condition checked. Although it may start every time, the condition may be slight off par and this could affect the stop/start system and also it may need the charging system voltage to be reset (if required) as this can flag the light
