  1. It can sometimes be a steep learning curve when it comes to modern cars but at least you found the issue and its not a serious, or expensive fault
  2. Hi Graham.....welcome to the Forum I know that sometimes it can be down to the USB stick format and especially if it works fine on other devices but not in the car. You could try formatting the stick and reloading the music or try other formats (e.g. MP3, etc)
  3. Hi Bob......welcome to the forum There are still plenty of old Micra's on the road and apart from bodywork issues the mechanicals are quite reliable and durable. Feel free to ask any questions and I'm sure someone will be able to assist with an answer
  4. Hi...welcome to the Forum Seems like this may be the best info on the fault and how to rectify it Let us know how you get on with it
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum I would imagine it is just surface corrosion which will clean up when used for a period. Sounds like a money making advisory note at best, worth getting a second opinion at another garage to confirm
  6. Not sure but if you walk past the mirror with it switched on and see if the light illuminates on the dash to show that there is an approaching car/object
  7. If it is associated with driving (e.g. it doesn't come on until you are moving) then it is more than likely a seat occupancy sensor and this can be caused by placing a shopping bag or similar on the passenger seat. If not, then you may have to start looking at water ingress being a possible cause
  8. The sensor is located on the DPF itself and if its blocked there are several garages that offer an unblocking service relatively cheap Just Google DPF regeneration and hopefully there is someone local to you
  9. Hi Kevin.....welcome to the Forum Haven't seen a Nissan (or was it Datsun) Cherry in such a long time, can't be many left on the road nowadays. Good to have you onboard and hope you get a response to your question soon
  10. Any luck with the code BRANOK ?
  11. They would need unblocking rather than moving direction. Try fusewire to clear the jets if the warm water does not work.....top up with quality screenwash afterwards
  12. Hi Marc.....welcome to the forum You could try increasing the pressure by another 5psi to see if this eliminates the message and if not the let the air back out. Sometimes you would need to drive it for a period to see if this makes any difference
  13. Hi Stephen.....welcome to the forum I would advise filling the reservoir with a decent quality screenwash and top up with warm (not boiling) water to see if this clears it. If the jets have not physically moved then it is more likely that they have partially blocked and this is why the water is spraying off target
  14. Hi Dave.....welcome to the Forum Try this, hopefully it will work Nissan Key Fob Programming Instructions Sit in the driver's seat of your Nissan. Close and lock the doors. Insert your key in the ignition. Turn the key to "ACC," turn it off and remove it from the ignition. Repeat this process six times in rapid succession. ... Insert the key into the ignition. Turn the key to "ACC." Push and release any button on the remote.
  15. Hi Will Any progress with the build so far? Would be interested to see how it looks during the installation and the end result
  16. Hi ..... welcome to the Forum Any independent garage should be able to replace light units or bulbs....not worth spending big money with the dealerships for a relatively simple job. Let us know how you get on with it
  17. Hi Stephen Unfortunately, we do not hold any official Nissan vehicle records so cannot assist you with your request. However, there may be someone in the club that has the knowledge required as to where to go from here? Good luck with the registration.
  18. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Sorry, it is a bit quiet at the moment but it sometimes gets a lot busier then generally quietens down at certain times of the year. Feel free to post up any questions or anything to liven it up a bit 🙂 Good to have you onboard Trevor
  19. Hi....welcome to the forum This has been discussed before I believe and it appears that coding in the new unit is the part that causes issues. Having to be coded via the CanBus to identify the new unit requires Dealer level diagnostic equipment but it is worth asking a dealer how much they would charge you to code it in after physically changing it over yourself
  20. Hi....welcome to the forum My son in law has a similar age X-Trail and he loves it, although he has had a few teething problems (handbrake switch, keys, etc) but now all resolved by dealer
  21. Sounds like you need to check the main vehicle battery for charge if it has not been used for a while then it has probably discharged
  22. Haven't seen anything to suggest this action. Worth changing the oil more frequently and keeping an eye on any new noises but our 2013 Juke 1.6 petrol is not displaying any signs of premature timing chain failure (as yet...touch wood!)
  23. Hi Tina....welcome to the Forum I would entrust the car to an auto-electrician as they should be able to diagnose the fault by looking for a large current drain and isolating different circuits until the readings drop. It is time consuming more than costly to diagnose and will be easier to find with the correct knowledge and test equipment. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
