Hi Members

My cars a Nissan Almera SVE 1.8 5 Door petrol Auto, it's build date was September 2004, I think the engines a QG18DE (85kW).

I want to program my spare 2 button Nissan key, and I found on the Nissan DataScan II website there is a key programming software. The software states to generate the key code PIN, you need to imput various details off the sticker of imobiliser module which is around the steering lock

So my question is, has any member managed to get there immobiliser ignition key PIN, by doing it using this method for this Nissan model and year.

Any advice would be great thanks

Not managed to programme a key this way before, sorry.

The only NIssan method I have used is to switch the ignition on and off several times within a few seconds and then press the remote buttons in a particular order (sorry, can't remember the order) but you should find plenty of info on the net for this method.

Also, the buttons frequently break off the circuit board internally

Thanks Trevor, yes I have already programmed my spare ignition key remote to 'lock/unlock' to the car, it's that I now need to program the immobiliser chip in the spare key, to be able to start the car (Nissan's NATS security system).

I just wanted to be sure that I take the correct details from the correct module in order to generate the correct PIN code for my Nissan model and year.

With some models, and years of Nissan cars you need the specification lable details off the BCM (Body Control Module), others the IMMU ECU,  and some the NATS Immobiliser Antenna module.

You feed the correct modules serial number, country of manufacture, and version code into the software, and it generates the PIN code

I guess  I'll just have to get all three modules details, then give it a go and hope I'm successful.

Regards

Sorry, never carried out that process before but when you crack it could you post up the procedure on here please, would be very useful for anyone else needing to carry out this process.

Thanks...and good luck
