Can I use other make ATF fluid, instead of Nissan's own

Hello Members

Has anyone used other makes of ATF fluid instead of Nissan's own, or, does anyone know who makes Nissans ATF fluid, as dealer prices are steep.

I'm not sure what grade, or type of ATF fluid I should used, the vehicles a UK right hand drive Almera 1.8 SVE 5Dr petrol (Sept 2004) Automatic, N16/QG18DE.

Thanks for any advice

 

Not entirely sure that Nissan use a special ATF but there should be something compatible on either eBay or via Castrol or similar.

Usually just Dextron II but worth investigating a little more to confirm and peace of mind
