We are driving through France and our nv300 is missing a beat or more. Mainly under load or uphill

It has done 100.000km and is 3 years old, has all services

It could be many things causing the issue but to be on the safe side it would be worth running a diagnostic scan on the engine ECU

If there was an issue it would normally bring on an engine management warning lamp
