Unable to get correct oil filter from main dealer now, mica filter given as alternitive. Smaller but fits ok, oil light goes out staight away old filter took about 10 seconds. Is this ok.

It should function okay, even though it is smaller the flow and filtration will still take place but maybe struggle if the revs are pushed too much

Would also consider to change it more frequently as smaller surface area for the filter element so maybe keep some in stock?
