Steering Wheel Squeak

Hello,
I wonder if anyone has had the same issue as me.
The steering emits a squeak when it there is moisture in the air, so during the warm months since I got the car in June, no noise at all.
You can imagine what it has been like recently since it has been raining....

The forecourt I bought the car from has there own garage and they apparently have greased the steering joint, both side since they replaced the gearbox (under warranty)

I am going back to them with this continuing issue, but I wanted to see if anyone on here has had the same issue and what it was?
