Qashqa Acenta Premium 2023 - no audible chime when exceeding

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I recently bought a 2023 Qashqai Acenta Premium, and have a query re the alert system.

Essentially, when Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) identifies a speed limit, and I exceed this limit, all that happens is my speed flashes on the dashboard by way of a warning - but I get no audible "warning chime" - like I've expereienced in other Qashqais.

I've had a look at the options in the Driver Assistance menu - and the only options I see for TSR are "On" or "Off" - no "info only" or "warning", like I've seen is the case for other models.

If the only option is on/off, I'd have though an audible chime would be the default - but I can't see where else this could be muted in the system.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

Not sure to be honest but found this AI summary which could shine some light on your issue

TSR Audible Warning Details:

  • Speed Limit Change: A single chime sounds when the system detects a new speed limit sign.

  • Overspeed Warning: If the vehicle exceeds the detected speed limit, the display flashes and a chime sounds four times.

  • Customization: Within the [Driver Assistance] > [Traffic Sign Assist] menu, drivers can set the system to:

    • [Warning]: Both visual speed limit display and audible overspeed chimes are active.

    • [Info only]: Only the visual display is active; audible alerts for speed changes are disabled.

  • Temporary Suspension: The chime can be temporarily muted by slowing down or using the steering wheel scroll dial.
