Electrical issues with the 2020 Kicks

Featured Replies

I’ve got a 2020 Nissan Kicks SV and am one of those owners plagued with what seem to be electrical issues (bought it brand new and have been having intermittent issues since I bought it, dealership claims there’s no issue they can identify) . In brief: I will, seemingly at random (i.e. sometimes when I’m driving, sometimes when I first start the car), get all kinds of sensor issues lighting up my dashboard. Sometimes I lose the ability to give gas to the engine (depressing the pedal with no result), sometimes not. When I lose the ability to give gas to the engine, and I restart the car (usually after 10 seconds), I can use my BlueDrive and scan for codes and will get all the error codes for the various sensors that failed. If I do not lose the ability to give gas to the engine, though, the errors don’t show on a code scan. In July 2025 I replaced the battery, in October 2025 I replaced the alternator, and in January I replaced the battery current sensor and I still have issues. Any thoughts? Anyone?

I think you have the correct diagnostic procedure for ascertaining the fault(s) but maybe take a step back and diagnose each code, warning lamp and issue individually.
Reason being there could be one overriding fault that is causing it or there could be a couple of faults present.
