Rattling noise from front suspension on Nissan Juke
I would say it is the anti-roll bar drop links that are failing - replaced some a little while ago and they put up a fight so be prepared to spend quite a bit of time grinding them off. Also, check the coil springs are not snapped and that the dampers are not leaking

Rattling noise from front suspension on Nissan Juke
My Nissan Juke makes a rattling or knocking noise from the front when driving over small bumps or uneven roads. It’s more noticeable at lower speeds around town. Steering feels ok but it’s annoying and getting worse. I’ve heard things like drop links or top mounts can cause this on the Nissan Juke. Is this a common problem and is it expensive to fix if I take it to a garage?

Nissan Qashqai e-Power feels jerky at low speeds
I will contact the dealer and see what they say on any updates. Thanks for your help.

Nissan Qashqai e-Power feels jerky at low speeds
I'm wondering if it could be a little bit of both? It would be natural to have a linear acceleration with e-power but also if a software upgrade was available then there may be an update on drivability which may smooth out the drive

Timing chain worries on Nissan Juke petrol engines
The main thing to worry about is oil quality, levels, and period between changes. This all affects the internal engine parts and particularly timing chains. Technically, they should last if treated considerately (e.g. allowing engine to warm up before driving off when cold, avoiding stop/start journeys as best as possible, not driving at high revs initially, etc). Cars have become so reliable and long lasting since I first started driving (early 1980's) and then new cars would only last about 10 years or at least had an engine replacement in that time. Nowadays, cars last beyond 20 years quite happily as long as they are serviced and maintained properly. Mileages in excess of 100k is quite reasonable now but back then it was classes as high miles when it was at 50k or 60k.

Nissan Qashqai e-Power feels jerky at low speeds
At low speeds in traffic my Nissan Qashqai e-Power can feel a bit jerky, especially when creeping forward. It’s smooth once going faster but slow driving isn’t very relaxing. I’m wondering if this is just how the electric drive is set up on the Nissan Qashqai e-Power or if there’s a software update or setting that improves it. Cheers!

Timing chain worries on Nissan Juke petrol engines
I own a Nissan Juke 1.2 DIG-T from 2014 and lately I’ve noticed a brief rattling sound on cold start. It only lasts a second or two but it’s got me worried after reading stuff online about timing chain issues. I thought chains were meant to last forever but people say otherwise. Has anyone had timing chain problems on the Nissan Juke and is this noise something I should be concerned about? Hope someone can help. thanks!

What engine oil should I really use for Nissan Juke service?
I always tend to use Castrol Oil Selector as a true guide on the specific oil to use (SAE, etc) - Grade is no so important unless you live in a very cold or hot country. https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/home/product-finder.html Mostly, oil and filter are most important service items but overlooked items such as gear oils, fuel, pollen and air filters are equally important and you should find the time to get those replaced individually.

What engine oil should I really use for Nissan Juke service?
I’m planning to service my Nissan Juke 1.5 dCi myself for the first time and I’m getting totally confused about oil types. Some places say 5W30, others say different specs and it’s not very clear. I don’t want to damage the engine by using the wrong oil. Also wondering if there’s anything else specific to the Nissan Juke I should change at the same time like fuel filter or any known service items people forget about.

Reverse camera issue
Hi all, I have a bit of a strange issue with my reverse camera and wondered if anyone had experienced the same and managed a fix, Intermittently my reverse camera flickers and goes black, as if maybe a loose connection? Other times works absolutely fine, However the strange part is that every now and then when reverse is selected the camera shows a still image like a snapshot of say a previous reverse? Which is weird because obviously it doesn’t record so how would it show that? Coincidentally also when the camera does go black/flickering the front camera then also shows black. Any help appreciated, also is it easy to get to and inspect the camera if necessary? Thanks

Hi @Esteban .... The Juke is one of the best cars built by Nissan (apart from the GTR) and you should have very few problems with it. Have a great Crimbo as well :-)

Nissan Qashqai e-Power engine revs don’t match speed
I know exactly what you mean - not Nissan related but Harley-Davidson instead. Took a Pan America for a test drive and it was doing exactly what you describe....the revs didn't match the gears which didn't match the road speed. It was so confusing to work out what was going on and I usually approximately know what gear I'm in and the road speed just from the engine revs and a quick glance at the gauges. However, I was rolling along at around 30mph and the revs were up and down (albeit a manual gearbox) and gave no indication of what was actually going on - probably my single most negative, but strange sensation from any motorbike I've ever ridden. CVT transmissions can also replicate this phenomena and have to agree it would more than likely be a case of getting used to it over time, just means you can't judge engine revs by ear but by constantly looking at the instruments to gauge what is actually going on. Good luck !

Nissan Qashqai e-Power engine revs don’t match speed
One thing that confuses me about my Nissan Qashqai e-Power is how the engine revs don’t seem to match road speed at all. The engine can be loud even when driving slowly. I know it’s not directly driving the wheels, but it still feels odd. Is this normal behaviour on the Nissan Qashqai e-Power and something you just get used to over time? Thank you

Leaf Slow Charging Issues
My 2016 Nissan Leaf is taking longer than usual to charge on my home 7kW wallbox. Has anyone with the same model year run into slow-charging issues, and was it caused by the onboard charger, the wallbox, or a problem with the charging port?

System fault
Sorry, just had another look at the symbol and it has the two lines up the side which would suggest that it may be to do with lane guidance. But still worth checking that the rear bumper for sensors (easily identifiable by their circular shape around the size of a 50pence piece. If it is lane guidance then it sounds like the ADAS is playing up and needs resetting.

It has a camera in the rear, so does it mean it will also have sensors at each corner

2021 Juke suspension improvements
Hi @Sam Deano64 - Welcome to the club. Any aftermarket dampers such as Koni will improve the handling over the standard equipment. Worth running a search on eBay for reputable brands and relatively easy to fit and you will see an immediate improvement

2024 Qashqai e‑Power woes
Hi @Isaac - welcome to the club I would put money on the hybrid system kicking in and out which can cause a slight 'stumble' when it cycles so wouldn't worry about it unless it gets any worse.

Nissan Qashqai Boot Storage
I know there are boot organisers on the market that suit most cars but not sure which one would be best to even if they custom make them to suit the vehicle. Worth doing a search on eBay for what is available for the Qashqai

System fault
It looks like the rear parking sensors are playing up - maybe covered in mud or something else obstructing them or one of them is faulty. If you put the car in reverse with the ignition on and engine off then go to the back of the car and each sensor should make a very quiet clicking sound if they are working...if not then replace the faulty sensor

Nissan Qashqai Boot Storage
I own a 2016 Nissan Qashqai and am wondering if it’s possible to add more organised boot storage for tools and travel gear. Has anyone modified the boot layout on this model year, and what solutions worked best?
