Nissan almera 2003 radio code
Trevor replied to Aivaras's topic in Nissan Audio / Video / Electronics / Security
Hi...welcome to the Forum It could be a fuse that retains the radio memory that has blown Worth checking the handbook to see which fuse(s) affect this circuit and physically check them Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor -
You should be able to get this from your local dealership at no cost If they say about a charge then I would state that the documentation that came with the car was not complete and did not include the radio code (which it should have)

Hi Joe...welcome to the Forum Sorry, not sure of the job time but it's very unfortunate to have failed during the MOT. Sometimes, albeit it looks accessible it can be a nightmare to feed the linkages through and into place, sorry, not entirely sure though as never done one. Cheers, Trevor

New to the world of Nissan! Hello!
Trevor replied to New2Nissan's topic in New Members Introductions
Hi....welcome to the Forum Hopefully you may not need to ask questions as this would assume you are having issues with your Nissan much like your Ford. Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor -
Did I get a lemon? Nissan Piston slap after < 20,000 miles

Hi...welcome to the Forum I think it is a case of "he who shouts loudest gets heard"...I think if you have proof of servicing then they are at fault and if you kick off enough about it then this may sort it. If not, then it's a case of absorbing the cost and trying to claim the cost back afterwards....but at least you get your car back on the road. Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers, Trevor -
Hi Chris....welcome to the Forum I would definitely check the earth leads that run from the battery negative terminal to the chassis (below the battery on the inner wing area) as these tend to break off. Only cost me around £10 for three new earth leads from Halfords and replaced the lot...everything then worked fine on my X-Trail. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor

Hi....welcome to the Forum The Navara is a great truck and very capable....just check the one you decide to buy very carefully for corrosion, especially on the chassis rails...common fault. Otherwise, great truck. In fact one of our Admin took a Navara all the way to Mongolia with no issues (well apart from the fuel tank falling out). Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

Yes, please let us know....hopefully its a cheap fix for you -
I cannot see any bulbs listed specifically for the glovebox but not to say there isn't one there....may need to use a mirror to look up into the depths of the dashboard to see if there is a light unit there

Hi....welcome to the Forum I'm not sure there is an auxiliary input for the system but you could use something similar to this gadget which will give you connectivity. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Elobeth-Wireless-Bluetooth-Car-Receiver-Stereo-Audio-Adapter-3-5mm-Aux-Input-Jac/122789432388?epid=1476325337&hash=item1c96d20c44:g:0jEAAOSwk-1Z-5m1

Aircon question - X-Trail T32
Trevor replied to Broadbandbond007's topic in New Members Introductions
Hi.....welcome to the Forum Sounds like it could be a slightly loose belt but also if it is worn then it won't grip too well when under load. Worth tightening or replacing to determine that it is the cause of the chirping. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor -
It would be worth checking to see if there is an oil cooler that is cooled by water (similar to Volkswagen) in which case this could be perforated and allowing oil into the coolant. Or it could be residue from before the gasket was replaced and is still sitting in the cooling system

I suppose it's not too bad of an outcome as I'm sure it will probably acquire a few more battle wounds along the way and as given its age then it may be the best solution to leave it like it is and just replace the bonnet to make it look better.

Hi Mike....welcome to the Forum Not jealous at all.....okay so maybe I am extremely jealous...just love the GTR. Feel free to post up some more piccies if you like Cheers, Trevor

Hi Ray....welcome to the Forum You may be lucky and get a retro-install by the dealers, depends on whether the wiring it there for it already. Let us know what you find out Cheers, Trevor

There wouldn't be any way to physically remove the alarm system (unless it is an after market system) but you could see if there is a fuse for the alarm (which I doubt there is) otherwise, you could physically remove the alarm siren to at least keep it quiet but the indicators would still flash and therefore flatten the battery. Have you tried just locking it on the door lock rather than using the remote handset?

Battery seems fine with those readings. I would say that it does seem that it is just too sensitive but not sure if you can adjust this.

That's a great price and sounds like the service is second to none....it's nice to hear of a good outcome from taking a car to a garage for repair, mostly hear too many negative ones. Glad to hear its all sorted and back on the road with least inconvenience. Feel free to share the Garage name and details on here for others to benefit from their good service (if they're local to the area). Thanks for sharing your news with us.

Hi Clayton....welcome to the Forum The Almera Sport is a great car, haven't seen one around for a while...obviously getting a bit rare nowadays. Main dealer would be the best bet to get a code...should be able to provide it free or at little cost. If too expensive to obtain one, then maybe an aftermarket head unit would be the best way forward Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
