My 2006 x trail rear o/s door is jammed. The solenoid works. I have tried the methods in case of the child lock being actuated but no joy there.

it remains stuck from both inside and out.Is there a way of releasing it without destroying the door trim?

Hi....welcome to the Forum

It doesn't seem like there is any other way to release the door apart from within the door assembly which would involve removing the door card.

You may be able to remove it without too much (or any) damage if you take your time with removing it.

Let us know how you get on with it all

Hi eventually used a hole saw to expose the lock connecting rod. A quick yank of the top rod and door open. Soaked all moving parts in wd40. All seems ok now. Glued the disc of plastic back in.

Thanks for the update.

Where exactly did you saw the hole?

Do you have a photo of the location you could share with us, always useful to know in the future if anyone else encounters the same issue.
