Hello, Any help appreciated my daughter bought a 2018 Nissan Micra 1.0 I believe haven't had chance to check the exact engine yet but the head gasket looks to have gone, the car has only covered 23,000 miles, no oil light warning (even though there is no oil in). I think it's the 0.9 or 1 litre k14 turbo. Is this a common issue with the K14?

That's not good for a car of that age or mileage

I do wonder if it is down to the fact that the oil has run low and caused the issue which then may be more than a head gasket.
 

Whats the service history like?
If its been serviced by Nissan then I'd put a call into them, see if they can help out in a 'goodwill' gesture sort of way - because that certainly shouldn't be happening on a car of that age.
Or take it up with the dealer that sold it?
