  2. Hi, my mum has a 2005 Micra, she doesn’t want to sell it, ever. It has c40k mileage and drives like a dream! But, the tailgate switch has failed and I’m struggling to get a replacement - it’s the intelligent key version - part number 25380AX10B. Any ideas please?? There loads of the 25380AX60B but these aren’t compatible with the intelligent key. Thanks in anticipation!

  4. I am really sorry to hear that -sadly you don’t have dig deep to see lots of other people in the same boat. I am afraid I found Nissan completely awful to deal with- I really hope you have better luck as we have lost thousands. Citizens advice suggested approaching the car finance company if you have a finance deal because claims can be made outside the warranty of the vehicle. Trading standards are also worth contacting - the more of us who contact the DVSA with evidence I think the better - because engine failure without warning is very dangerous, particularly as this is such a popular family car. I am planning on sending details about this issue to car journalists. I hope you get a happier resolution.

  9. Hello All, Hope everyone is doing well and keeping happy. Wondering if anyone can shed some light, have a late 2017 Nissan QQ 1.2 DIG-T. When you rev up the vehicle as the revs start to drop back down you can hear a single thud sound (sounds like hitting a bongo drum) Thank you very much
  10. Hey all, Hope life has been treating you well. I have an odd, So I have a Nissan QQ 1.2 dig 2017. I have noticed that when move off in reverse or set of forward you get a clicking noise from front driver side wheel (see video: https://youtu.be/btICZDUeN4E?si=Z_dPz4Ju8Nc86824 but it only does it once on the initial reverse set off or forward set off which would suggest it's not something getting caught. You can make it also do it, if you are in reverse gear, holding the brake and letting out the clutch pedal all whilst stationary Things done: I have inspected all suspension components. There is.in and out play in of drive shaft. 2) Checked.dog.bone mount. 3) checked for play in wheel / wheel bearing 4) check with wheel on for anything catching. If anyone has any ideas? Thank you

  16. Certainly a cheap fix but should it be necessary on a new vehicle?
  17. Hi all. New-to-me owner here - an NP300 N-Guard - picked up 2 weeks ago and still getting to grips with it. Former owner of a T31 X-Trail for 11 years, so sticking with a known and (reasonably) well-trusted brand. Only after purchase and after a 200+ mile drive home did I realise that there was no 'key nut' for the lock-nuts on the tarmac-touching wheels, but a trip to the local dealer sorted that particular issue (at a cost, obviously). In putting the truck in to a local provider of underbody rust protection treatment yesterday. I learned that there was a security lock nut applied to the spare wheel too. Guess what? The key nut required for that, which attaches to a T-bar in the provided toolkit, wasn't anywhere to be found either, so the guy couldn't fully complete his treatment on the underside of the tub. I spoke to both previous owners of the vehicle, and neither could recall having seen nor had need to use that part (nor the key nut for the 'in-use' wheels. Too far down the line to know for sure if they weren't originally provided, or if someone's memory isn't what it should be. However, fact is, if I get a puncture and need to replace a wheel, I'm screwed until I get a key nut to drop the spare wheel. I called the local dealership after talking to the two previous owners. I explained my situation and, of course, a key nut is available to order (again, at cost), but as part of a set replacing the whole set-up, and removing the old part is, according to the parts guy, "tricky, but do-able". He added that the key nut would have to be part of a set 'cos the current lock nut would have a different design. Having looked online at images for the offending parts, it seems that the 'pattern' of the lock and key nuts are the same in every one, and this applies to D40 and NP300 models. Can anyone confirm if this is the case, please? If so, I can get a set off ebay for £20 less than Nissan are charging. Thanks in advance.
