  1. How did you get on with the overheating?
  2. Great job! thanks for sharing this guide in the forums
  3. maybe source some through ebay.com (international sellers) as the non-UK market may be stronger in stocking maintenance parts
  4. Worse case scenario is to have one made for it, surprisingly cheap and can also manufacture in stainless steel which would last the lifetime of the car
  5. I have increased the image upload size so you should now be able to upload the images
  6. For a very short distance on back roads so couldn't really experience it on a long term basis
  7. Hi Geoff.....welcome to the Club A lot of manufacturers are going for the small capacity 3 cylinder engines which produce rather impressive horsepower through clever design and modern materials. All things considered you should be able to enjoy the drive equally the same as the 1.6 but please let us know how you feel about it once you have a few miles out of it.
  8. You should be able to adjust the throttle body settings by using a scanner which can resolve the issue
  9. Does sound like a driveshaft but have heard the clunking coming from the rear diff on tarmac when I've forgotten to switch it back
  10. Thanks for uploading the instructions and running through the fitting procedure, very useful to anyone else who also wishes to install additional charge points.
  11. Hi Sarah.....sorry for the delayed reply. It could just be some air trapped in the cooling system which is an easy fix. If you take it to a garage or a competent person that can diagnose it with an infra-red temperature gun (about £15 to buy) and see where the hot spots or blockages are. A very easy and quick diagnosis to establish the cause of overheating Let us know how you get on with it
  12. Is it the motor or the heater resistor that has failed? What are the symptoms?
  13. If there is a clunking noise on acceleration or most definitely when turning full lock in one or either direction. Also, this could be that the transmission is in 4WD on tarmac and can destroy the rear differential
  14. Hi....welcome to the Club In reality, the disc retaining screws hold the disc to the hub flange but when the wheel is secured the discs are located and secured in position so the screws are then redundant. By using the screws to secure the disc it makes it easier to fit the wheel with aligning the wheel when fitting.
  15. Can you reverse the connection....e.g. initiating it from the phone to car instead?
  16. Hi....welcome to the Club There are many options to fit (BullBars, Steps, Racks, etc) There is a great company offering such items and reasonable prices as well https://direct4x4.co.uk/
  17. Try this company as they may have aftermarket lamps that will do the job https://www.headlampsdirect.co.uk/
  18. Its tough to say without experiencing it first hand. It is more likely to be a stabiliser mount as in the gearbox mount as it is under a backwards and forward motion that is causing the noise. Therefore, it has to be a mount or stabiliser bar that controls that motion
  19. I would definitely restore it if there is no corrosion and it seems to be mechanically sound. It will only go up in value over the years and would be a great car to drive around occasionally and take to shows in the future
  20. I think Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree or eBay are the best choices for secondhand ones....seen a few on there over the past year
  21. Hi Philip.....welcome to the Club eBay is definitely the place to source automotive clips and there are specialist online stores that sell specific clips so worth doing a search and comparing your clips to find a suitable replacement
  22. Hi.....welcome to the Club Have you considered getting it wrapped? It may also prove to be more durable than the paint
  23. Hi....welcome to the Club I would have the injectors tested and also a compression test on the cylinders which could also highlight the issue you are experiencing. Let us know how it all goes
  24. Hi....welcome to the Club Not sure if there is a recall issue but definitely worth taking into a Nissan dealer to have the ADAS looked at. It may be performing as it should be may not be capable of recalibrating for some reason, hence Autoglass wouldn't touch it Let us know how you get on with it
  25. Hi.....welcome to the Club Wow! that must have been a spectacular wipe out! If the intake is damaged along with the engine then I guess any competent garage should be able to carry out the work at a reasonable price Let us know how you get on with it
