  1. Hi...welcome to the Forum Bank 1 (only one bank of cylinders on a Note), sensor 2 - should be the rear one (after the Catalytic Converter) that measures the efficiency of the Cat...should be the same as the front sensor but maybe with a slightly longer loom. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor
  2. Hi Simon....welcome to the Forum Thanks for sharing the pics and write up on Dennis...very inspirational. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  3. Sorry, not sure if it is a sealed unit but I sometimes say is that 'if it went together it should come apart' which is okay in theory but how much damage will occur getting it apart. Let us know what you find
  4. Hi....welcome to the Forum Seems strange that it works on one phone and not the other....which leads me to think you may be right about it being a phone issue rather than the car itself. Let us know how you get on with Nissan Cheers, Trevor
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum Classic car now and only got to be going up in rarity and value I would imagine. Here's a useful link to find out how many, or few are left https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi...welcome to the Forum First thoughts are level sensors but if not, then maybe an issue with a front parking sensor which could be sensing the bollard....just a thought. Not sure if you can switch them off to try it? Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  7. Any interior sensors would not set off the alarm if a bus goes by (even though they have a hell of a lot of vibration come from them) as it only controls the interior (volumetric sensing) but if you had an air freshener hanging off the mirror then it would. I would still get the battery checked to be on the safe side though
  8. I know what you mean....tried several different ways with X-Trails in the past....usually find that it is one of the methods but if you miss any part of the sequence or it is slightly outside of the timeframe then this is the reason. May also be an idea to take it to the dealer to programme up to the car...they probably do it all the time and it would only take them a couple of minutes to do so wouldn't cost a lot.
  9. I would look at the wiring first...switch ignition on, someone has their foot on the brake pedal and then wiggle the wiring where it goes from the roof area to the tailgate. Sometimes, the wiring breaks when it articulates when being opened and closed over time.
  10. Hi Shuja....welcome to the Club Hope you're enjoying your Note and good to have you onboard
  11. The best bet would be to get the battery tested if there is any doubt of it's strength and ability to hold charge...especially with the winter coming up. Halfords are as good as anywhere else to carry out a discharge and condition test. Radio code should be in the owner's handbook or on a separate card. If not, then contact the dealer for a replacement code. Let us know how you get on with the battery test
  12. Hi Markus....welcome to the Forum Had a look at your site...amazing! Look forward to seeing your X-Trail in 3D Cheers, Trevor
  13. Hi Rob....welcome to the Forum I would start at the battery and look at the condition and level of charge....if this drops, it can set off the alarm. Check also the connecting leads, terminals, etc. Otherwise, check door switches work by opening each door independently and seeing if the interior light comes on...this way you know the door sensor work.
  14. I believe there is supposed to be a small cover for the belt area but I removed mine and never put it back. The only thing it really does it stop any debris entering the area and potentially getting caught up in the rotating belt.
  15. As Jim Hall says, this is the most likely cause on the xtrail for lack of power if the engine is running well but runs out of steam
  16. That's bad news but on the upside...at least the camchain is now replaced and less likely to just fail in service so peace of mind there. If the cam sensor is faulty then this can flag a code but equally if the chain has any slack in it still then this also could be a likely cause
  17. Here is a review of the Qashqai for you to digest and see what you think of it https://www.whatcar.com/nissan/qashqai/hatchback/review/
  18. Hi Alex...welcome to the Forum The 370z is a great machine, would love one myself. Quite what they are like to own with maintenance costs and repairs, I'm not sure but hopefully someone on here can assist you further. Good to have you onboard and let us know how it goes with finding one. Cheers, Trevor
  19. Hi Stan...welcome to the Forum The Frontier is a superb car and I would imagine that the QashQai would be an ideal choice for a family car. Keep us updated with your purchase decision Cheers, Trevor
  20. Sounds like you may just have to live with it as there is no actual fault coming up.
  21. Hi Nick....welcome to the Forum How unfortunate, I would have denied it and blamed it on the wife, lol Bonnet is easy enough to unbolt and bolt back on but ensure there are two of you to hold it otherwise it may fall back onto the windscreen and damage that as well. Finding one in the right colour does ensure that you don't need to involve paintwork as this costs big money. Good luck and let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  22. Hi Andybaz....welcome to the Forum Any questions, just ask away...not sure we'll always have the correct answers though! Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  23. Plenty of kits available on eBay which should do the job https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xnissan+micra+k12+fog+lights.TRS0&_nkw=nissan+micra+k12+fog+lights&_sacat=0
