Trevor Posted January 16 Share Posted January 16 I'm not sure if the engine is safe once the chain has gone and chances are the pistons have hit the valves I would turn the crank so that the pistons are midway down the bores (remove plugs to check this is the case) and then I would turn the cam(s) cautiously to ensure there is free movement.
