Nick77 Posted yesterday at 07:42 AM Posted yesterday at 07:42 AM Hi, My mum has a 2006 1.4 Micra SVE that has a fault with the seat belt in that the dash light comes on intermittently. We’ve been advised by the dealer that the fault is with the buckle(driver side) but the parts are no longer available so i would have to try and track one down which i did on ebay but after 3 trys they were all faulty, i found another through a breakers but Nissan mechanical said its the wrong one, even though it fitted and has not gone off yet. Can anyone offer any advise on how to fix this or maybe where i can find the correct part, thanks.
Trevor Posted yesterday at 10:56 AM Posted yesterday at 10:56 AM I would advise someone look at the connections under both front seats for the SRS seatbelt pretensioners as they usually flag up a fault if the connection is poor

Trevor Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I would have a go yourself - switch ignition off and leave for half hour. (be careful as this is pyrotechnics and therefore explosive charge) Disconnect the electrical connectors under each seat, twist the wire one turn (so it has a slight bias on the connection when refitting) and reconnect. That may well solve the issue but because it is intermittent then it may not bring the light on straight away.
