  1. Hi Smiileysam33 How did you get on with the repairs on your X-trail? Sounded like a long list of faults...all under warranty I imagine? I would always say that if a customer tells you something has changed (noises, etc) that they would know as they are driving it all the time..always proved to be right! Regards, Trevor - Admin
  2. Hi jmurray01 Sorry for the late response but I have only just come on here to revitalise the forum. I totally agree with you...Nissan has a large following and a very popular vehicle make. Would love to see more members use the forum....Anyone??? Regards, Trevor - Admin
  3. Hi Sorcerer, You are correct that when a MAF goes faulty it usually just affects the running and not create a non-start situation. I would go back to basics and work out why it went wrong in the first place and check the fundamentals (battery feed and EARTH cables, fuel feed, condition of ignition components, etc). Hope you find the fix Regards, Trevor - Admin
  4. Hi, I would suggest referring to the owners handbook to check the location of the fuse(s) but a lot of vehicles do not have permanent live feed to ciggy lighter to avoid battery drain.
  5. Hi Jamie Try this link from the Nissan Owner Club site http://www.nissanownersclub.com/parts-results/Primera/Wing-Mirrors--Accessories/36682 You may find one that looks similar fitment and shape/size. Regards, Trevor - Admin
  6. Hi TedVan I found these available for the front brakes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291714170558?clk_rvr_id=1042670089498&item=291714170558&lgeo=1&vectorid=229508&rmvSB=true I'm sure the supplier can source some discs for you as well Regards, Trevor - Admin
  7. Hi Derk-at-21...and welcome to the club! Not sure about the software but if the radio stays live with the ignition off (e.g. storing radio stations) then its not the radio power supply and more than likely the fact that the USB cannot retain a memory without power. Any members on here have any ideas? Regards, Trevor - Admin
  8. Hi Amy...welcome to the forum! I can't find any specific videos to follow to remove the door panel but would advise pulling at the panel until the plastic 'pop out' but do NOT apply too much force to end up breaking the panel or any of the clips. You will also find a few screws (some hidden) but usually they are situated in areas where is more secure than just clips holding it in place. If in doubt, maybe worth taking it to a garage who shouldn't charge you too much. Cheers, Trevor - Admin
  9. Hi Joe...welcome to the Forum The problem is the key fob internals, which are quite easy to fix and cheap to do. Try this kit (I have used quite a few from this supplier) and if you are handy with a soldering iron its a quick DIY job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/141664360528?clk_rvr_id=1042673029008&item=141664360528&lgeo=1&vectorid=229508&rmvSB=true Cheers, Trevor - Admin
  10. Hi Didz, I would suggest that you have a driveline fault which I would take into a reputable garage to inspect all relevant components...shafts, joints, etc Better to tackle it now rather than it break completely which could be a lot more expensive. Regards, Trevor - Admin
  11. Hi Terence...and welcome to the club! I am assuming that you have the petrol engine X-Trail? Either way, that's a considerable amount less MPG from published figures. Regards, Trevor - Admin
  12. Thanks for the updates Moff....you have created a really awesome car! A true labour of love and buckets of money thrown at it I imagine... Keep the post coming, much appreciated Regards, Trevor - Admin
  13. Hi Kevin...welcome to the club! Found some info about the procedure but beware...most of the people attempting this procedure ended up breaking the mirror glass so may be worth letting the dealers/specialists do it as it may be cheaper than replacing a broken mirror glass? Good luck, and let us know how you get on Regards, Trevor - Admin
  14. Hi Rob...welcome to the Forum! Firstly, I would take the car to have all four wheels aligned, as some of the symptoms you describe could be coming from the rear end being misaligned. Secondly, I would try some additive and give the engine a good clear out (at legal speed limits :-) to try to clean up the intake system which could cure the idle issue. Cheers, Trevor - Admin
