All they would have done by the sound of it is to hardwire the connections which generally cause the SRS light to illuminate ... which is fair enough. However, if they are different seats they may have different resistance in the airbag/pretensioners which could be causing the light to illuminate?

Hi Luke maybe worth taking it apart completely and looking to see if there is any water ingress or if the microswitches have fallen off (quite common)

I would imagine it is a permanent fault if the light is on permanently. quite possibly it is not sensing one of the seats (or both) aren't connecting properly with the system. I would start by looking at the connections under the seats

Welcome to the Forum It sounds like a Catalytic Converter emitting the smell of sulphur but why only in reverse? Unless you are covering ground where the smell is being emitted (e.g. from the exhaust which you wouldn't smell if you are travelling forwards) ?

I would say that if the condition of the car is very good and the service history is complete and by reputable repairers then it sound okay. Again, the above is applicable to the mileage and also consider how the mileage has been generated (e.g. town or motorway). Let us know how it goes Cheers Trevor

Hi Scooter...welcome to the Forum I could recommend changing the fuel filter but make sure you replace it with a quality one (OE or similar). Make sure all the air is out of the filter head by priming it and releasing any air that's trapped it in. If all else fails then change the filter head.....worked a treat for mine. Hi....welcome to the Forum Sounds like it could be an earth issue or the wrong indicator bulb fitted which is causing it to backfeed into the sidelight You could prove this by swapping the indicator bulb over to the other side and if the fault appears over there then you have the wrong bulb fitted Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

It is a very faint clicking noise you should hear but I doubt all the sensors are faulty. If it bleeps when you put it in reverse then the system is working to a degree (e.g. it is activating and the reverse switch is working) so if the sensors are okay then it must be a faulty module. Worth checking the reverse light bulb is working while you're carrying out checks

I would change from 2nd to 3rd around 70kph (maximum) and then to 4th around 95kph (maximum) but there is nothing wrong with working the engine as long as it is maintained and the revs are not sustained for too long.

I would assume the third party warranty should pay up to an amount so I assume you pay up front and claim it back and if the bill is over the amount you pay the extra? If this is the case then you could take it to Nissan but expect to pay some on top to cover the bill. It sounds as though it could be a door lock solenoid being faulty but not to exclude the wiring that runs into the door from the pillar.

You should switch the ignition on (engine off) and put into reverse gear. Listen closely to each sensor and if they are working then they should emit a clicking sound. If not, then replace the sensor

I believe it comes off by banging from underneath Could try gripping gearknob tight and banging your hand in an upward motion (keeping face out of the way!) .... works on VW and BMW

Hi...and welcome to the Forum My first thoughts are as it seems to be temperature related, is the oil being used in the gearbox is of the wrong grade or at the very least a lighter grade oil could be used to facilitate easier gear shifts. Used to have this years ago with certain boxes and a quick swap out to a lighter weight of oil usually solved it. The synchromesh mechanism requires oil to be present but not too 'thick' as this could have the effect of dragging the baulk rings and making changing more difficult, especially when the oil is cold. Ask them to change the oil to a lighter grade to see if that makes the difference. Let us know how you get on with it all. Cheers Trevor
