  6. Thats quite a bit of drain...not the boot light is it? The best way to properly diagnose it is to measure the amps draw at the fusebox and remove fuses to eliminate the current draw...time consuming but effective
  7. Hi Gordon...welcome to the Forum! What year is the Pixo?

  10. Thanks Moff, However, I think you have mis-reported it by saying 'car is nearly done' and possibly you should have written 'car is nearly done...until I decide to strip it and rebuild it to go even faster / handle better, etc' :-) Looking forward to reading your report. Once again, thanks very much for sharing this with us!
  11. Hi, You can advertise it through this forum by following this link http://www.nissanownersclub.com/motors-for-sale/ Hope you get some responses shortly.
  12. Hi Rob, I think if you add any type of additive and repeat a few times it should have some effect on the idle speed. As BigSteven666 has suggested, it is worth checking the brakes to see if they are worn unevenly when the alignment is carried out. Regards, Trevor - Admin
  13. Hi...and welcome to the club! Welcome back to the ever growing band of Nissan owners once more. I don't suppose you still own the Cherry's? Regards, Trevor - Admin
  14. Hi...and welcome to the club! I would start by looking at the earth leads running from the battery to the chassis. Check the terminals at both ends for corrosion and security and if necessary, remove and clean up then try the electrics again. Let us know how you get on. Regards, Trevor
  15. Hi Kevin, Thanks for the feedback, very handy to pass onto other members with the same problem. Regards, Trevor
  16. Le Mans, France Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy is ready for his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut after completing a successful day behind the wheel at the annual Le Mans Test Day yesterday at Circuit de la Sarthe. Hoy will drive in the LM P2 class in his 24 hour debut alongside Renault-Nissan Alliance athlete Andrea Pizzitola and British racer Mike Munemann for Algarve Pro Racing aboard their Nissan-powered Ligier. The 2015 European Le Mans Series LM P3 class champion completed 30 laps / 408.88 kilometers around the legendary Le Mans circuit as he prepares to become the first-ever Summer Olympic Medallist to compete in the classic French endurance race. "The car didn't miss a beat. The track was pretty green and slippery out there early in the session but even so I was really pleased with my lap times and I was able to chip away and get quicker and quicker," Hoy said. "It is great to get back on this track - it is such an amazing circuit. Looking forward to the race weekend I'm really not focussed on the results, I'm just trying to do the best job I can. "Whenever I'm in the car I'm driving to the absolute limit of my abilities - not beyond it - and trying to finish the race. It is such a challenge to just survive the race. I'm really not thinking beyond just trying to do my job. "As soon as you start thinking about winning or getting on the podium it just distracts you from what you are trying to do." After becoming the most successful British Olympian ever in 2012 in London, Hoy retired from cycling the following year and began to focus on his “hobby” behind the wheel. Linking its role as a Team GB Olympic sponsor, Nissan first entered Hoy in the British GT Championship in 2014 in a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. It has put him through its intensive driver development program created to turn graduates from the successful GT Academy “gamer to racer” programme into professional drivers. Hoy scored a podium in his debut season and graduated to the European Le Mans Series last year in the new Nissan-powered LM P3 prototype class. Hoy scored victories in three of the first four races with Team LNT in a Nissan-powered Ginetta with co-driver Charlie Robertson to clinch the LM P3 driver’s title. Hoy, Pizzitola, Munemann and the Algarve Pro squad are scheduled for the 24 Hour of Le Mans admin checks (2:50pm) and scrutineering (3:30pm) on Monday, June 13 before hitting the track for the first time on Wednesday, June 15.

  19. Hi Smiileysam33 How did you get on with the repairs on your X-trail? Sounded like a long list of faults...all under warranty I imagine? I would always say that if a customer tells you something has changed (noises, etc) that they would know as they are driving it all the time..always proved to be right! Regards, Trevor - Admin
  20. Hi jmurray01 Sorry for the late response but I have only just come on here to revitalise the forum. I totally agree with you...Nissan has a large following and a very popular vehicle make. Would love to see more members use the forum....Anyone??? Regards, Trevor - Admin
  21. Hi Sorcerer, You are correct that when a MAF goes faulty it usually just affects the running and not create a non-start situation. I would go back to basics and work out why it went wrong in the first place and check the fundamentals (battery feed and EARTH cables, fuel feed, condition of ignition components, etc). Hope you find the fix Regards, Trevor - Admin
  22. Hi, I would suggest referring to the owners handbook to check the location of the fuse(s) but a lot of vehicles do not have permanent live feed to ciggy lighter to avoid battery drain.
  23. Hi Jamie Try this link from the Nissan Owner Club site http://www.nissanownersclub.com/parts-results/Primera/Wing-Mirrors--Accessories/36682 You may find one that looks similar fitment and shape/size. Regards, Trevor - Admin
  24. Hi TedVan I found these available for the front brakes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/291714170558?clk_rvr_id=1042670089498&item=291714170558&lgeo=1&vectorid=229508&rmvSB=true I'm sure the supplier can source some discs for you as well Regards, Trevor - Admin
  25. Hi Derk-at-21...and welcome to the club! Not sure about the software but if the radio stays live with the ignition off (e.g. storing radio stations) then its not the radio power supply and more than likely the fact that the USB cannot retain a memory without power. Any members on here have any ideas? Regards, Trevor - Admin
