  1. Hi Inkey5 ....welcome to the Club - Battery drain, quite possibly the laying up of the car for a length of time has caused the battery to sulphate and discharge. Either use a battery conditioner (not a charger) on it and see if it recovers over time or replace with a new one Also, once charged then you can look for a drain-source using a multimeter - also check earth straps and connection points on the chassis Oil service and fluid checks are always advisable after laying up a vehicle - also a chance to check over the car and find things to address in the near future Coolant level should be halfway within the expansion bottle and/or at the top of the radiator when you remove the cap Good to have you onboard and keep us updated on your progress
  2. SHould go off when the engine is running
  3. It sounds like you are referring to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and these will come on with the ignition and headlights also Is the correct bulb fitted in the rear lamps as this can backfeed the lighting system and cause all sorts of issues with the lights?
  4. Can you swap the switches over to test them (assuming same connectors used on both) ?
  5. Should be located on the pedal somewhere (maybe in a completely inaccessible location though)
  6. Good choice in my opinion
  7. If the propshaft had to be removed for the transfer case seal to be replaced then maybe it hasn't been put back in the same position? You could eliminate this by putting a jubilee clip on the propshaft(s) and test run the vehicle and if necessary, turn the clip slightly to another position to see if that changes the vibration
  8. Has the vehicle had any running faults that can be related to the light coming on? Or had any work done on the engine recently?
  9. Hi Tim....welcome to the Club Good luck with your search and hope you find one
  10. First thing comes to mind is tyres but could also be a clutch plate/pressure plate or engine mount issue but hard to diagnose and not sure why only in the wet Worth dropping into a reputable local garage for them to road test it just in case it is a serious issue
  11. Thanks for letting us know the outcome, nice simple and cheap solution 🙂
  12. Its a case of undoing the nuts and bolts and reverse to fit, however, ensure you disconnect the battery negative terminal before starting work
  13. A quote of what the system is and not sure how it affects the car shutting down though Usually an ABS sensor that is faulty can cause this but worth getting the vehicle scanned to see what fault codes come up
  14. Avoid Chinese tyres as these are a false economy and sometimes dangerous. Falken and Avon are the best mid-range tyres and very reasonable cost
  15. As long as there is sufficient airflow (albeit redirected) then it shouldn't make too much difference to the temperature of the A/T fluid, unless you are towing constantly in which case I would reconsider it
  16. Try switching the passenger Airbag off through the switch and back on a few times see if that changes anything
  17. Plenty of Nissans that have Renault parts (Qashqai, X-Trail, Juke)
  18. I would be worried if you didn't hear it in the future 🙂 As long as it still starts and doesn't slow down which could suggest it is starting to bind on the shaft then it should be fine Alternatively, a new starter isn't that much and easy to fit https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=131090&_nkw=2015+k13+micra+starter+motor&selvel=Cars+Year%3A2015%2CCar+Make%3ANissan%2CModel%3AMicra%2CVariant%3APetrol%20Hatch%2CCars+Type%3A1.2%2CBodyStyle%3AFWD%20IV%20K13K%2CMK13K_%2CPlat_Gen%3AMK%20IV%2CEngine%3A1198cc%2056KW%2076HP%20HR12DE&selcontext=productType%3ACAR_AND_TRUCK%2CpartType%3APARTS%2CqueryType%3ABY_VEHICLE&_sop=15&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=3
  19. That sounds like the starter motor Probably go on forever but have heard this sound many times before and sounds like the pinion gear is dry and slow in returning when the engine starts
  20. Hi....welcome to the Club Here is a selection of relays which you'll need to identify by the pin configuration but used one for my L200 a while ago and worked a treat https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2499334.m570.l1313&_nkw=led+flasher+unit&_sacat=131090 Great looking Micra by the way !
  21. Hi...welcome to the Club Quite a rare model now and you can check 'How Many Left' on a search to see how rare it actually is in the UK Should be able to find bits and pieces on eBay but may have to be from European sellers
  22. Worth having the battery changed as it could be getting a bit low Also, I believe there may be an issue with the microswitches becoming detached from the circuit board inside the fob. If you take it into a locksmiths that can change the battery they should be able to tell you if this is the case
  23. It is worth checking the brake lights are working correctly and also check for any water ingress into the ABS unit Both of these faults come up for that code
  24. I think if it was a belt it would most definitely squeal on start up Belt tensioners can also cause this sort of noise but most generally a squealing belt is down to the make (or most importantly where it is made) and doesn't contain much rubber content, more of a synthetic silicon material which will squeal and stretch no matter how much you tighten it over time
  25. Hi Richf .... welcome to the Club Hopefully the Serena should serve you as well as the Bongo did. Was it corrosion that forced you to part with the Bongo?
