  1. Not so sure it will be that simple

I would ask the local scrapyard if they know (usually quite knowledgable about what fits what) as there may be subtle differences that would be hard to get resolved

  2. I would start with resolving the oil consumption issue.
This would hopefully sort any issues with noise from the engine.
Maybe also research the different oil grades you can put in the engine and maybe run a heavier weight of oil (e.g. 10w40 instead of 5w30)?
As long as it is the SAE specification for Nissan engines

  3. Hi....welcome to the Club

Not sure where to start looking for a manual to be honest

I owned an Urvan many years ago and didn't have too many issues with it at all, except for corrosion of course.

Not sure what the 4WD was derived from, Patrol possibly?

  4. You may notice some drop off on efficiency but then this is hard to calculate over time as it depends on weather, type of road being used (urban, motorway, etc), ambient temperatures, traffic and so many other factors that I would worry too much about it and maybe part with the car if you do notice some serious deterioration to the charge and output rate

  5. Great to see someone using the correct method of diagnosis to determine an electrical fault
Unfortunately, the remedy is pointing to the BCM which doesn't make it a pleasant pill to swallow with the cost of a new one.
I do wonder if there is any water ingress to the BCM or indeed if the earth leads are in good condition throughout the vehicle (have come across similar issue with Nissan's before)?
