  1. Hi Unfortunately, the club does not hold any vehicle records Here is a list of authorised clubs from the DVLA but not any Nissan clubs listed https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/661004c8a43d91001c3af20c/v765-1-list-of-vehicle-owners-clubs.pdf Best bet would be a Nissan dealership if you went in with the VIN number and research some parts and this should determine the year from their parts system
  2. Not sure what the exact cause is but if it was since replacing the battery then I wonder if they dislodged a connection to the headlight which may be in the vicinity. Either way, a scan of the vehicle should reveal some fault codes which will guide you to a specific cause Let us know how you get on with it all
  3. That's a fair and honest review of the Juke and a good fallback if you don't find what you're looking for
  4. wiring or control unit may be damaged or need reprogramming once airbags have been deployed
  5. Hi....welcome to the club Sometimes the alternator can go faulty and cause a large current drain as it is wired to the battery so quite possible this could the reason for discharging. I would find an old school independent garage who can use a multimeter and diagnose an excessive electrical current draw (pulling fuses until the current drain is found and thats where the problem will be) In the meantime you can lift the bonnet and look underneath for any earth cables from the battery to the chassis and the transmission that have corrosion on the terminals or have snapped (common fault on older XTrails
  6. Please let us know how you get on with it all
  7. It doesn't sound like the compressor at fault, more likely ambient air temperature sensors and switch panel are likely candidates Check also any earth leads to the chassis and engine as these can break or corrode on the terminals and lead to many strange electrical occurences
  8. Do you think you will switch over to a Juke in the near future?
  9. If the motor moves when you aid it by physically moving the wiper arms then there is power going to it. More than likely the linkage has detached which is a common fault on these cars.....try reconnecting the linkage (quite easy to get to) Alternatively the wiper arms have moved on the tapered connection to the arms from the linkage but you would need to remove these to get to the linkage and the motor
  10. Hi....welcome to the club Good luck with your search, I can imagine there are a few for sale but its finding a good one that is the most difficult part of a search
  11. Merry Christmas to the members of the Nissan Owners Club Enjoy the festive break and see you back here in 2025
  12. It certainly does sound like that is the reason and would be surprised if it didn't sustain some damage when the plug electrode dropped into the cylinder You could carry out a cylinder leak-down test to determine that it is valves or piston damage
  13. This is due to a internal module problem with the back up power ,check that the connection is good remove and clean with contact cleaner ,still having issue then have a new module installed and programmed This came from a Google search, worth checking all connections you can find under the bonnet, starting at the battery and work your way out from there. Don't forget to check earth leads and connections Also check the battery is strong, engine may start but volts could have dropped low when cranking the engine over and this could have flagged the fault code
  14. Thanks for the review and feedback....the Juke is a good all round vehicle and definitely nice to drive, enjoy!
  15. I would be tempted to spray WD40 (via thin tube that is supplied with it) liberally within any area you can see where it rotates and see if you can find a way to introduce it into the motor mechanism (but not the electric motor)
  16. thanks for the feedback and glad it worked out okay
  17. You could possibly fit the components but without the switches and wiring being in place it would also need the components coding to the body control unit for it to work...maybe not worth it for the cost and uncertainty?
  18. you might be able to find a satnav audio head unit that has the security code and possibly(?) it might work without coding to the vehicle body control unit ?
  19. Maybe the wiring has broken in the rubber gaiter leading to the tailgate pull back the rubber each end and inspect the wiring
  20. Hi....welcome to the Club Glad to hear you stuck with another X-Trail....hopefully in a brighter colour you may be seen next time by other drivers 🙂 Good to have you onboard
  21. It sounds like battery strength and condition is poor. I would definitely try a new battery before proceeding to replace other parts
  22. looks like a specific Nissan plug I believe back then it would have been pre-PBD and not capable of storing/reading fault codes
  23. only one crank sensor, which will either be at the front under timing cover or towards the rear of the crank (gearbox end - but more unlikely nowadays)
  24. Check all earth leads and connections under the bonnet and leading from the battery down to the chassis, engine and transmission
  25. The valve block should transfer over but the ECU will need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle
