  1. Welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  2. You may be able to get a rebuild kit that comes with new seals Easy enough job to remove the pistons, clean up and fit new seals to rectify the issue
  3. It should be something like selecting the individual seat position and then depressing the position number 1 or 2 button (depending on who is driving at the time) for a short period of time
  4. Not sure but sounds like a Dual Mass Flywheel failing which can cause those sounds and also lead to the vehicle jerking. You can tell this when you switch the engine off and the rattling continues for a very short while afterwards
  5. also worth checking the quality of the battery - a lot of cheap ones fail on the individual cells a quality battery can be determined by the weight of it and also the cost - not worth skimping on replacement batteries
  6. Sounds like transmission wind-up when the four wheel drive diff locks up on full lock - would advise not to use 4WD on tarmac too often to avoid damaging the transmission
  7. I think the best option would be to get one in any colour, cut a hole for the side repeater if necessary and then have it resprayed
  8. Hard to determine what the noise is or where it is coming from Have you had another diagnosis since?
  9. To be honest I have no idea what that can be for except maybe what you are seeing is the clutch mechanism (can't get enough clarity on the photo to exactly determine what it is)
  10. An audio specialist or even the main dealer can provide this code usually for a nominal cost
  11. Google search: One is nearer the engine and one is nearer the back of the car, after the DPF
  12. Still worth getting the fault codes interpreted which will narrow down the possible cause(s)
  13. Hi Unfortunately, the club does not hold any vehicle records Here is a list of authorised clubs from the DVLA but not any Nissan clubs listed https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/661004c8a43d91001c3af20c/v765-1-list-of-vehicle-owners-clubs.pdf Best bet would be a Nissan dealership if you went in with the VIN number and research some parts and this should determine the year from their parts system
  14. Not sure what the exact cause is but if it was since replacing the battery then I wonder if they dislodged a connection to the headlight which may be in the vicinity. Either way, a scan of the vehicle should reveal some fault codes which will guide you to a specific cause Let us know how you get on with it all
  15. That's a fair and honest review of the Juke and a good fallback if you don't find what you're looking for
  16. wiring or control unit may be damaged or need reprogramming once airbags have been deployed
  17. Hi....welcome to the club Sometimes the alternator can go faulty and cause a large current drain as it is wired to the battery so quite possible this could the reason for discharging. I would find an old school independent garage who can use a multimeter and diagnose an excessive electrical current draw (pulling fuses until the current drain is found and thats where the problem will be) In the meantime you can lift the bonnet and look underneath for any earth cables from the battery to the chassis and the transmission that have corrosion on the terminals or have snapped (common fault on older XTrails
  18. Please let us know how you get on with it all
  19. It doesn't sound like the compressor at fault, more likely ambient air temperature sensors and switch panel are likely candidates Check also any earth leads to the chassis and engine as these can break or corrode on the terminals and lead to many strange electrical occurences
  20. Do you think you will switch over to a Juke in the near future?
  21. If the motor moves when you aid it by physically moving the wiper arms then there is power going to it. More than likely the linkage has detached which is a common fault on these cars.....try reconnecting the linkage (quite easy to get to) Alternatively the wiper arms have moved on the tapered connection to the arms from the linkage but you would need to remove these to get to the linkage and the motor
  22. Hi....welcome to the club Good luck with your search, I can imagine there are a few for sale but its finding a good one that is the most difficult part of a search
  23. Merry Christmas to the members of the Nissan Owners Club Enjoy the festive break and see you back here in 2025
  24. It certainly does sound like that is the reason and would be surprised if it didn't sustain some damage when the plug electrode dropped into the cylinder You could carry out a cylinder leak-down test to determine that it is valves or piston damage
