  1. Hi Jamie.....welcome to the Forum If the shoes and mechanism looks fine then you can adjust them to the drum (inside of the disc) via a small hole on the outer face of the disc. The hole lines up with the ratchet wheel around the 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock position on one side and the other one. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to turn the wheel until the disc locks up, back off slightly and its adjusted. Take up any slack on the handbrake cable and 'voila!'
  2. Hi Gilly......welcome to the Forum How are you finding the X-Trail?
  3. Hi....welcome to the Forum I would suggest taking a trip to Halfords and seeing their range of replacement audio. If you are not confident to replace it yourself then they can do this for you (at a cost) and also sell simple plug in adapters to avoid getting into wiring up the new one.
  4. Good luck with it and if in doubt 'read the handbook' Essential bedtime reading 🙂
  5. Thanks for sharing the information, always very handy to know the cause of these issues
  6. Hi Dawn. I also fell foul to the same issue recently, albeit I knew I had to dip the clutch pedal but I hadn't pressed it down far enough (only by a fraction) which was enough for it not to start. I then altered the seat setting a little closer and this resolved the issue. It does take a bit of getting used to and also the handbrake can be daunting until familiar with it.
  7. Hi....welcome to the Forum It looks like a multi-purpose tool which was probably a manufacturer 'give away' gift Bottle opener, tin opener, etc
  8. Hi...welcome to the Forum Enjoy the Qashqai when you get it and at least the roads are quite empty so you can give it a good shakedown back home from the dealership. Good to have you onboard
  9. Hi.....welcome to the Forum I am slightly worried that they wish to change the transmission fluid but if its not too costly and it will ensure the transmission is trouble-free for years to come then it may be a viable option. The Brake Fluid and Coolant do need changing every two years regardless of mileage as they deteriorate over time and the Brake Fluid will absorb moisture from the atmosphere. Let us know how it all goes
  10. Hi....welcome to the Forum I don't think there is much else you can do to lower the RPM at 100kph.....you've already gone for higher ratio tyres, so the only other thing is to fit another gear ratio(s).' I'm not sure which box will fit though, so may be a case of living with the higher RPM. Let us know what route you go with it and would love to see some pics of the Laurel
  11. Hi Dawn.....welcome to the Forum Couldn't find a specific link to online service information but think this may be somewhere to start https://www.nissan.co.uk/ownership/you-plus.html

  14. So when you are finally released from lockdown and able to drive your car....what music will you play in the car?
  15. Hi....welcome to the Forum Here are some links that may be of use to you in your search. 16. glad you got there in the end and thanks for sharing the information that could help anyone else in the same situation.
  17. I think the way I would approach is that the bearing is just that....a bearing. Most bearing companies will treat it as that and measure the internal and external sizes, type of bearing, load and speed rating and then find you a suitable replacement (which may have a higher revolution speed or load rating) but I could almost guarantee that there will be something available, just not listed as a replacement Nissan wheel bearing. Try these guys: http://www.ashleypower.co.uk/
  18. Hi Mike I have always gone to a bearing specialist supplier when I have encountered an odd one like this. May not be close to you but Ashley Bearings in Poole always come up trumps. Cheers, Trevor
  19. Usually, they are held in place by a spring clip which is part of the jet itself. Try gently moving the jet either backwards or forwards against any spring pressure to release the jet
  20. Glad you got it sorted
  21. I have found this information for the Suzuki Alto (which is virtually the same car) it is tucked up directly above the 'bonnet pull' handle on the off side and the radio fuse is the blue one right in the corner at the front of this fuse-box.
  22. Hi Andrew....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  23. Has it definitely got a 'Stop / Start' specification battery as these have a deeper cell charge capacity than a standard battery? If so, then I wouldn't worry too much about driving it as is...just won't have the stop/start function which you should be able to switch off anyway
  24. Sorry to hear that .... it does seem that unless there is a trend which is developing over time (e.g. Honda clutches which are as weak as wet cardboard) then it doesn't register as a fault. Rather frustrating on your behalf I would imagine....maybe worth getting it sold whilst it has a new clutch in it?
  25. Glad it worked out okay for you...enjoy!
