Juke Auto gear box dipstick
It's okay if nothing goes wrong but by the time the vehicle warns you, it's probably too late anyway

Newbie
Hi Sarah...welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear about your medical condition....hopefully the car hasn't suffered from standing around and as long as you have started it occasionally to keep the battery charged and moved it enough to stop the brakes from seizing then there shouldn't be much else to worry about. Maybe also free the wiper blades from the windscreen in case they have stuck on there and if you switch the wipers on it could tear the blades so best lift them off the screen first. Let us know how you get on with it all Good to have you onboard and enjoy motoring again. Cheers Trevor

Radio entry
Hi...welcome to the Forum You should be able to get the code from your local dealer...hopefully he shouldn't charge for it either. You must be of a certain age to remember that advert....Remington, I think it was? Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

Juke Auto gear box dipstick
Hi...welcome to the Forum Not entirely sure but a lot of other manufacturers remove the dipstick and either have a service dipstick which they dip the box and then put it back in their toolbox or otherwise its sealed and drained and refilled to the correct quantity. Shouldn't be an issue unless the transmission is losing fluid and you would notice that collecting on the undertray Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

Aircon question - X-Trail T32
excellent result! it's good to hear of 'good news' stories as mostly hear ones about how dealers have ripped people off.

CD Player Problem
I would suggest taking the car to an audio specialist shop who could probably fix it there and then or suggest a solution to go forward if not repairable. A dealer would probably only suggest replacement of the whole unit and not enter into further diagnosis.

Radio code
ouch! sometimes there is radio code software available on ebay...maybe worth having a look on there

Radio code
You should be able to get this from your local dealership at no cost If they say about a charge then I would state that the documentation that came with the car was not complete and did not include the radio code (which it should have)

cost of wiper linkage replacement labour
Hi Joe...welcome to the Forum Sorry, not sure of the job time but it's very unfortunate to have failed during the MOT. Sometimes, albeit it looks accessible it can be a nightmare to feed the linkages through and into place, sorry, not entirely sure though as never done one. Cheers, Trevor

Did I get a lemon? Nissan Piston slap after < 20,000 miles
Hi...welcome to the Forum I think it is a case of "he who shouts loudest gets heard"...I think if you have proof of servicing then they are at fault and if you kick off enough about it then this may sort it. If not, then it's a case of absorbing the cost and trying to claim the cost back afterwards....but at least you get your car back on the road. Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers, Trevor

Newbie with a starting problem
Hi Chris....welcome to the Forum I would definitely check the earth leads that run from the battery negative terminal to the chassis (below the battery on the inner wing area) as these tend to break off. Only cost me around £10 for three new earth leads from Halfords and replaced the lot...everything then worked fine on my X-Trail. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor

Newbie looking at Navaras
Hi....welcome to the Forum The Navara is a great truck and very capable....just check the one you decide to buy very carefully for corrosion, especially on the chassis rails...common fault. Otherwise, great truck. In fact one of our Admin took a Navara all the way to Mongolia with no issues (well apart from the fuel tank falling out). Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

Nissan Murano noise needs diagnosing ! help please
I would pop it into a reputable garage for them to check it over then, just in case it leads to something a bit more serious (cam chain, etc)

Aircon question - X-Trail T32
That's a great result, simple adjustment and at no cost either...win, win!
