  1. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Sounds like it could be a slightly loose belt but also if it is worn then it won't grip too well when under load. Worth tightening or replacing to determine that it is the cause of the chirping. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  2. I suppose it's not too bad of an outcome as I'm sure it will probably acquire a few more battle wounds along the way and as given its age then it may be the best solution to leave it like it is and just replace the bonnet to make it look better.
  3. Hi Mike....welcome to the Forum Not jealous at all.....okay so maybe I am extremely jealous...just love the GTR. Feel free to post up some more piccies if you like Cheers, Trevor
  4. That's a great price and sounds like the service is second to none....it's nice to hear of a good outcome from taking a car to a garage for repair, mostly hear too many negative ones. Glad to hear its all sorted and back on the road with least inconvenience. Feel free to share the Garage name and details on here for others to benefit from their good service (if they're local to the area). Thanks for sharing your news with us.
  5. Hi Clayton....welcome to the Forum The Almera Sport is a great car, haven't seen one around for a while...obviously getting a bit rare nowadays. Main dealer would be the best bet to get a code...should be able to provide it free or at little cost. If too expensive to obtain one, then maybe an aftermarket head unit would be the best way forward Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi...welcome to the Forum Bank 1 (only one bank of cylinders on a Note), sensor 2 - should be the rear one (after the Catalytic Converter) that measures the efficiency of the Cat...should be the same as the front sensor but maybe with a slightly longer loom. Let us know what you find Cheers, Trevor
  7. Hi Simon....welcome to the Forum Thanks for sharing the pics and write up on Dennis...very inspirational. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  8. Hi....welcome to the Forum Classic car now and only got to be going up in rarity and value I would imagine. Here's a useful link to find out how many, or few are left https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ Cheers, Trevor
  9. Hi...welcome to the Forum First thoughts are level sensors but if not, then maybe an issue with a front parking sensor which could be sensing the bollard....just a thought. Not sure if you can switch them off to try it? Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  10. I know what you mean....tried several different ways with X-Trails in the past....usually find that it is one of the methods but if you miss any part of the sequence or it is slightly outside of the timeframe then this is the reason. May also be an idea to take it to the dealer to programme up to the car...they probably do it all the time and it would only take them a couple of minutes to do so wouldn't cost a lot.
  11. Hi Shuja....welcome to the Club Hope you're enjoying your Note and good to have you onboard
  12. Hi Markus....welcome to the Forum Had a look at your site...amazing! Look forward to seeing your X-Trail in 3D Cheers, Trevor
  13. Here is a review of the Qashqai for you to digest and see what you think of it https://www.whatcar.com/nissan/qashqai/hatchback/review/
  14. Hi Alex...welcome to the Forum The 370z is a great machine, would love one myself. Quite what they are like to own with maintenance costs and repairs, I'm not sure but hopefully someone on here can assist you further. Good to have you onboard and let us know how it goes with finding one. Cheers, Trevor
  15. Hi Stan...welcome to the Forum The Frontier is a superb car and I would imagine that the QashQai would be an ideal choice for a family car. Keep us updated with your purchase decision Cheers, Trevor
  16. Sounds like you may just have to live with it as there is no actual fault coming up.
  17. no problem...glad you have peace of mind now
  18. Hi Nick....welcome to the Forum How unfortunate, I would have denied it and blamed it on the wife, lol Bonnet is easy enough to unbolt and bolt back on but ensure there are two of you to hold it otherwise it may fall back onto the windscreen and damage that as well. Finding one in the right colour does ensure that you don't need to involve paintwork as this costs big money. Good luck and let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
  19. Hi Andybaz....welcome to the Forum Any questions, just ask away...not sure we'll always have the correct answers though! Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  20. Hi....welcome to the Forum Not sure there is a security code for the Connect system. Not many vehicles have this setup nowadays as the security is integrated into the coding of the component to the vehicle.Chhad to disconnect the battery and power down the vehicle, saves any aggro with recoding the various systems afterwards.
  21. I know what you mean about the read outs so thats why I always drive on the odometer where I know that I should get approximately 90 miles to £10 on my Honda CR-V and that is based around 45 miles to the gallon. Once you get used to driving by the miles rather than rely on the gauges then its a far better way of judging the accuracy
  22. Great to hear that you are happy with it and that the niggling faults aren't major ones. Look forward to reading your update
  23. HI Lisa....welcome to the Forum Your car should hold 46 litres in the tank....that's just over 10 gallons which means at 58mpg that you should be getting a readout of 580 miles range - if my maths are correct :-( https://www.carleasingmadesimple.com/data/nissan/juke/fuel-tank-capacity/ A lot of modern vehicles don't actually achieve the stated mpg that they are advertised as getting so it seems like you are currently getting only 41 to the gallon, which isn't good. Let us know how it all goes Cheers, Trevor
  24. Just read your blog....looks like you had a great time there. One of my favourite tracks but never had the nerve (or the right car) to take around it but love visiting the circuit to watch various race events. Great to see Moff out there after the accident, was she running better than before? any mods to do for the future after shaking her down?
  25. Hi Rod Does sound like a deep rattle...see how the flush works and let us know the result. As for replacement, should be able to do it in situ but may be a bit tight. Again, let us know how it all goes but if it isn't tappet rattle then I wouldn't delay doing the camchain as this is a common failure on some Nissans
