Sometimes Halfords have the popular paints on the shelf but I'm not sure if that colour is a popular one (at the time). Depending on where your house is in France I suppose depends on whether it's even worth worrying about. When I owned a house in Normandy and used to park up old cars out there to drive around, I found that they blended in with the condition of the cars (dented and unwashed bangers) in the area and didn't stand out as anything special to attract any undue attention :-) Good luck with finding it

Hi Austin Not sure what the code is but Halfords are pretty good at mixing up the original paint in a touch-up spray tin. If you show them the photo that may be able to match it? Being the sill area I suppose it isn't too bad if the paint doesn't quite match but always nice to get it somewhere near right Cheers, Trevor

If you switch the ignition on (engine not running) with reverse gear selected and go round the back of the car, put you ear to each sensor and you should hear a clicking noise if it is working...find the one that isn't clicking or fainter than the others and that is the one you'll need to replace and the system should start working again.

There could be several issues affecting the power supply to the pump, system relay, crank sensor, immobiliser, fuel cut off valve, fuel pressure switch to name but a few. Probably best to run a diagnostic on the other systems to see if any live data reveals an issue. Also, worth checking all earth straps as these can be problematic on Nissans

It would be worth separating the keys as they can corrupt if on the same keyring. Also, if you constantly press the button away from the car, this can also roll the code on and the car has to relearn the code to start up. Battery life can be diminished by a faulty fob or just cheap batteries, so worth checking but if both fobs don't work then I would imagine it to be a fault with the car instead. Sometimes on some Nissans, the buttons break off the circuit boards inside the fob and you can get a repair kit for this on eBay.

Not sure if you can use a bent screwdriver tip and some pliers to extract it as it should be on a detent which stops it from pulling out ordinarily. Just needs a little bit more force I'd say. You could delete out the previous photos and use compression software for all new ones, that should solve the issue

I have had some in the past and quite honestly they do look quite cheap....maybe try some UK manufactured or OE ones...big difference!

Maybe worth roughing up the edges slightly with sandpaper to key it up and then try something like Araldite

I'm not sure it wouldn't be worth getting it checked though...could lead to something bigger if left unchecked

Hi Jane....welcome to the Forum I would advise taking the car to a reputable garage to have it checked over as it could be a number of things causing the rattle. Would do it sooner than later as if it is only a rattle at the moment but could be a 'knock' later on if not attended to. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor

They certainly do make a difference, not only to the turbulence and also the noise levels. Looking forward to seeing how they look on the car.

The link you attached is exactly the sort of kit I was referring to with all components to replace the standard OE (and of poor quality) parts. I would contact them and ask for compatibility of your engine, but it is most definitely worth getting it all done for peace of mind....regardless of whether it has been done before when poor quality parts may have been fitted for an economical repair.

I would be very tempted to have all internal parts replaced with upgraded quality parts to ensure it doesn't go bang...smaller investment than an engine in my mind.
